Since sweden has already has its Barcraft (i think), hell, it's about time to have one in Finland as well.
Homestory Cup 4 takes place from 5th of january untill 8th, and this presents an opportunity for some starcraft 2 action in a pub. On sunday the 8th, a pub called Maltainen Riekko in Alppila, Helsinki (Aleksis Kiven katu 56), will open its doors for Starcraft 2 fans from 15:00 onwards (local time). The pub is accessible by two trams and a train station is relatively close as well.
The event is free to attend. However since it is organized in a pub, fans under 18 cannot attend.
If you have any questions regarding the event, feel free to contact me via pm in team liquid, eme_ @quakenet or by e-mail elmerinick at gmail.com
*EDIT* BarCraft Helsinki now on facebook!

Barcraft Helsinki: HSC4 event - Remember to do the RSVP, will make a lot easier to determine wether the event needs some extra effort. (eg a possible extra TV, notify the bar staff of a huge amount of people pouring in etc. all in all to make it easier to make the event as enjoyable as possible) http://www.facebook.com/events/207831842639224/

i've got a feeling that like 5 people show up and then it's really akward. Are you sure people are coming?
Esport is not so big here so i dont think it would work here...
Not with that attitude Snettik. BarCraft Stockholm has over a thousand members because they went out their way to spread the message, and people came as a result. Not reason why Helsinki can't replicate that success.
Most important thing you need to do is create a community for your barcraft. Currently, most does so by creating a facebook group. Other social media that has been used with various levels of success include meetup, subreddit, and twitter.
Next, do any or every of the following, with the items with most impact listed first:
It's all about spreading the word. I'm pretty sure there's more than five Starcraft players in Helsinki. You (or all of us) just have to get them together! Facebook etc is much more effective way for that than TL, but I'm sure you know that already. I'll take a few friends with me and come check it out at least.

OH GOD! I so want to come! (Only an hour away in Lahti).. hmm I need to evaluate my budget and see if this is possible..
The more the merrier, hope to have you there!
I'll be there if I'm in town for sure. I will also notify my buddies and try to drag one or two with me. Never been in the place though, so I hope it has (big) enough screens.
I think I'll pay a visit, showing starcraft in a bar sounds like a great idea. Who will be casting anyway?
Will definetly spread word about this to my friends, but im not able to attend myself.
Wish I lived in Helsinki.
Well I'm certainly interested, if theres anyone between Pori and Helsinki who's willing split my gas bill while driving there or not willing but want's a ride pm here or write it here!
