I like Hero a lot, but come on, he is not a top protoss right now. + Show Spoiler + No, I hold nothing against parting, but this discussion seemed to evolve into a discussion, whether Hero or Parting is the world´s best Protoss, because both of them have beaten Jjakji. And I wanted to point out out, that there are other guys to consider, than just those to. Hero is 17-26 in Korean tlpd-- he shouldn't even be considered for best Protoss tbh. I doubt he's even in the to 10. He's a Code B foreign tourney Hero, like Puma. Now that Col signed 3 Koreans watch them do well in every foreign tourney they enter. Basically any Korean toss could have been signed in Hero's place for Liquid and had the same if not better results.
except he's in code A?

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ThorZain, why do you never kill your opponent when you can? It's silly how good ThorZain would be if he just didn't turtle and let both of them max out when he has a ridicilous advantage. After crushing the 3 gate semi allin most GM terrans could've won that game 95 times out of 100, all he had to do was stimming forward and doing decent micro ._..
And the last game was not the only such game, shattered temple one aswell. If he had in fact won the games he should have this series would have been his.
|
heh, thorzain could have won in the mid game and take the series to the final smackdown.
I feel dissapointed.

HerO does so well in online matches. Just need to get over his nerves to get into Code S!

5-3 vs T and 5-0 vs Z? How about some vs P?
Actually scratch that - bo9 PvP would be horrible.

He's code A and beat DRG to qualify for it. Hero has potential to be the best, but he obviously has nerves issues.

Hey there, saw you made a slight typo and decided to fix it for you.
In all seriousness, that was a very impressive game. HerO taking some heavy losses early on, but through safe macro play managing to keep in it. I think Thorzain could very well have won if he'd just dropped a little, though. One Medivac's worth of units in HerO's main, and he would have been forced to split up the famous Protoss deathball. Thorzain's play is incredibly strong against someone who is either very passive or recklessly aggressive, but it starts to fall apart against someone with play as flexible as HerO.

HerO!! Why do you never do this well in GSL??? -.-

Don't think its fair to compare DRG's ZvP at that time to his ZvP now. DRG lost to players like gatored, JYP, hero and a few others around that period. Its in these past 2 recent months or so that he has really stepped up on his ZvP to bring it onto the same level as his ZvT.

Gogo invite Stephano, he has a crazy ZvP record. Would be really cool to see them clash, and you already have a small storyline as they have met before.

Well the Gatored loss is pretty bad, but don't forget he also beat TOP at the same tournament. Gatored played really well then and the Koreans were playing in NY, not exactly the closest place for jet lag.
JYP has very good PvZ, there's no shame in losing to him either.

Obviously thats fanboism if anyone says any player is gonna win GSL first try. I dont think he made it into code S yet, so im not sure where youre getting the dropping down into code A thing from. Hes been doing well in GSL the last 2 seasons, with last seasons being the best, missing out on Code S only in a PvP with JYP and only losing to July before that.
|
Btw for people that are talking shit, HerO has missed code S like 3 times by 1 game. He lost 2-1 two times in the code A round before code s, and then he got in base pyloned out of the up and downs. If he doesn't get nervous he should easily be code S next season. Edit: so if you think he is Code B you are more than wrong lol...
|
I knew it's going to end at game 8, CatPajamas kinda spoiled it at the end of game 1 lol.
