Sitting here watching the second open and have a few recommendations to hopefully assist in improving the opens.. Having been the primary caster/streamer for Team Epidemic's clanwars and having done a lot of the casting for the Platinum Gamer Weekly streams as well as being involved with the production side of the PGW's I feel I can offer a few suggestions.
First and most importantly, the caster should not be a prominently visible part of the in-game cast. In my opinion they should of course be an audible, yet not visible part of the cast. The players themselves should be the focal point and by including the caster's webcam during the games is taking away from this focal point. If we look at the primary tournaments put on by some of the larger groups (NASL, IPL, MLG, GSL) we do not see the caster except between games unless there's an event that requires a switch from in game to out of game.
There was at least one major point where the caster not set to busy status and was actually chatting with at least one person via chat mid-game. This is a very very distracting thing and being that the primary caster is also the streamer, this is visible. In my opinion, this shouldn't be visible to the viewers mid-game, it is a bit more acceptable between games, especially if there is another overlay between games to either reduce vision or block the game from visibility while he chats with others or arranges the next games.
The overlay graphics were not updated to reflect that this was the second occurrence of the open. Also the text could be recoloured and thus easier to read, it strains the eyes trying to read it against the darker colors of the ingame background.
The observing wasn't that bad, a little jerky at points but it does appear that the major points in each game were caught and showcased/discussed. I'd love to see the obsing become more fluid and less jerky, in time and some experience I'm sure we'll see just that.
Not enough plugging of the twitters or the 'sponsors' of the tournament. It happened at one point but only the casters twitters were mentioned. Plugging of the sponsors during the long break would have been great.
Lastly I'm not a big fan of the GG button but that's an extremely minor issue.
Overall I did enjoy the games thus far. Casting is pretty good though I'm sure most casters can agree that we all have room to improve.

I agree on the fact that casters should not be shown during casts and mostly in between games, I agree with the fact that the caster should always be on busy because of the fact that people can message you and its shown on the stream, for the overlay part (graphics) i set that up however when i put the Team Epidemic on the right side of the UI it came to me that way so when i put it on the overlay it didn't blend in very well with the Starcraft 2 User interface background and will try to get ePi's manager to be able to change the text color to white. To be honest there aren't any sponsors for the tournament other than it being hosted by Team Epidemic which was shown all over the overlay, I will talk to the casters to be able to plug in the Team Epidemic twitter. We will continue to improve and thank you for the feedback
