No, if you load a ladder map you aren't caching every single animation in the game like you are with this map. When you next start SC2 run this map twice in a row, the second time will have significantly less stutter.

I'm not sure but think i still have fps drops cause of burning death animations. Any way to add them (and acid deaths) to a later version?
I have eviscerate, acid, and fire deaths for zerglings, roaches, marines, and marauders (it's already in the map just slightly off-screen, but it should still cache). Are you experiencing stuttering for burning death animations on a unit other than those above? Actually now that I think of it I forgot the burning nydus death animation, but that's relatively rare.
Edit: Ah... I forgot the rest of the zerg units (infestor, queen, etc.) haha... I'll get on that.

Yeah in fact it was a queen burning down and caused the lag =)

Thanks for this. Any chance it could get uploaded on the SEA server? I know we can log into NA cross region but it's a hassle. I'm happy to upload it if that helps.

I think you should add small logo to 1st post, update arcade preview and loading screen
I think red-grey style will be more noticeable in blue Battle.Net interface. Also here you can see streaming loader icon, that you can see while something is in streaming process.
With that loading screen you're better place text at the left or right side of screen instead at the center
P.S. It's not Unit preloader, it's just Preloader. Because there are not only units, but also minerals, vespenes, buildings, abilities, etc

Simple amazing. Everytime I engaged in my first fight, whether it was drops or just poking at the front, my game would stutter and I would lose all my units. It completely negated all my micro. So glad you made this! Thanks!

Really nice map, fixed my fps drops, still waiting on 1.5v2 though, because loading a map everytime I wanna play (or once per day) kinda sucks.

Is this still necessary after the hotfix? So you load this up after every time you restart your PC? I think I just leave mine on sleep, so I never have to run this.. unless i restart, right?

that's correct, although you will get the same result if you simply load any other map.

Thanks for this. Played a game against a protoss earlier and we didn't engage at all until maxed. My screen went black for 10 seconds and I lost my whole army =/. Thanks Blizzard!

No I'm pretty sure that isn't the case. Load any map, then load this pre-load map twice in a row. The first time will be stuttery but the second won't.

Works like a charm. Thanks!

If I change my graphics settings, should I run the map again?
Can I run it while alt-tabbed to get the desired effect?

Definitely run it after changing graphic settings. I haven't tested if running it while tabbed affects the process, I'll check it out later today.

Is it me, or does the Ultra have the beta-attack on the map? Not that it's something that makes the game stutter when it's loaded the first time, I just thought it's funny, as I saw it.
