I know he is on all the time but I assumed there would be ppl who streamed more. I watch him a lot and he doesn't cast korean games, he ladders 2v2. He might watch a game every now and then and just share his opinions but very rarely.

I could do the same to get slightly more accurate numbers, but that's way more work than just taking them straight from TL.. Thank you for your response. Guess I don't understand how the viewer counts are calculated when they can be off by over a hundred. I'll try to grasp a better understanding.

The numbers themselves don't really mean much, but they allow us to see a trend. And in this case we can see that the viewer numbers have been mostly steady in the last few months after a noticeable decline in May. Back then it has been speculated that Summer is to blame. Whoops, my bad. You're quite right, somehow I missed the two IM players. I'll fix the OP. Still, there's less and less Korean team players streaming every month. :/ I don't have any numbers for TSL3, but here's the numbers for TSL4 so far:
The numbers depend a lot on the competition. Going head-to-head with The International sure didn't help TSL's viewership. Also, I'm sorry guys that I'm not presenting numbers like these in a more pretty format in the OP. Life's keeping me too busy to do that currently. :/ Thanks for the reply. By the looks of things TSL4 has definitely lower viewer count than TSL3. I remember watching semifinals of TSL3 with well over 30K people on stream which is obviously no the case with TSL4. Great stuff Conti, keep posting this informationm it's really insightful to the current state of SC2 development.

Idra used to pull a metric ass-ton when he rarely streamed, and now that he streams more he has less on average (yet obviously he will still make more from simply streaming more.) Yup very true. When idra rarely streamed he'd get 12k+ viewers all the time, let alone I remember him hitting 20k one time.

I hope he realizes the potential income from his viewer count and starts streaming more. Atleast he has been streaming the last few days now that hots beta has been released.

This is part of it but a lot of it i feel is IdrA's poor results. When he was pulling insane numbers he was considered a code-s quality player. You see Stephano pull numbers that IdrA used to pull because of how good he is.

Hopefully I will improve enough to deserve this status and eventually get onto a team or be featured >< My apologies, and thanks for letting me know! I took that information from Liquipedia, where it said you're on their academy thingy. I see that you fixed that yourself now, though. It's fixed for next month for my list, too. And congratulations for making it into the top 50.

This thread is amazing, stephano doubling idras viewer numbers for the same amount of time, thats a huge increase in profit margin from streaming. I would be intrested to see how often they run adds and their revenue per hour Then I would also like to see the sc2 streamer numbers be compared to other games like dota and lol to see how it stacks up.
