Whoa calm down with mines and battle hellions still in the game People can still mech in TvP for now in the beta and wherever T is getting rolled by P (which will happen) warhound will fill in that role just calm down and think things through a bit this is a months long beta process apparently so there is still plenty to come yet

As a rather excellent TL blog pointed out, the warhound wasn't a mech unit. Being built from a factory doesn't make it mech. Anything is better than forcing a boring unit into a race just to make it competitive.

Hellion Battle hellions can now be built from the Factory. It has an Armory requirement.There is a new upgrade at the Armory that will allow transformation between Battle Mode and Normal Mode. Sorry for my probably ignorant question but where the hell did you build the Battle Hellion before this, the Barracks o_O? It was just a normal Hellion transformed yes, i.e. it already came from the Factory...

You know actually, from reading these changes and Protoss now having a way to disable fungal on an area of units, I'm really hoping they reintroduce Science Vessel with the same ability

Single items of patchnotes usually pile up over time and are collected. So no surprise they first made the Hardened Shield of Immortals work with the Warhound missiles, then later decided to remove the Warhound altogether.
It may also be an indicator that the Warhound might be coming back at a later time, because Blizzard at the moment wants people to use other units more and not entirely focus on this one possibly broken unit.
