With experience you'll be able to tell them apart easier and also it helps to know where you teammates are so that you can assume easier if this person is someone you want to shoot or not. You could possibly use offline vs bots to get more familiar with the way the CTs and Ts look.

I can't tell who is CT and who is T I think your teammates will have a small arrow/triangle thing above their heads as well. Just use the radar, and it should be easy to know if someone on your team is close by. Maybe it's because all I am doing is pubbing but everyone I use to play with in 1.6 won't play csgo and I'm not about to pay esea because I personally think their service sucks. Anyone wanna let me play with their team for a scrim or two? That would be really awesome! EDIT: There might be two of us who are willing to try out a scrim. If you think I won't be good enough to play with you I did play Main for a few seasons and my buddy played Invite if that at all matters to people. I'm not looking for anyone really serious, just wanna try out a scrim or two in csgo. What was your buddies ID when he was in cal-i? What area are you located? East? West? Central?

To suggest removing tagging is nothing but provoking the community. That's all:-) Moving on, anyone interested in doing tl ten man's? I have a server Yup! My ping might be too bad to the US though. PM me anyway

I think it doesn't mean that much) Peyote is his name. And.. West coast my man! Everybody knows West coast 1.6ers is where the skill was at!!

So i could only take part if the time fits :/ On September 19 2012 20:59 Nimix wrote: I played 1.6 a bit again and realized I still have much more fun on 1.6 than GO wish they made players and bullet impact easier to distinguish on walls/from a distance For me it feels like some gameplay decisions are not logical follow ups from 1.6. Some thinks i will never understand. But CS GO wasn't considered by valve as a direct cs 1.6 sequel at any time, so love it or hate it! :x

The hitboxes, smaller, are also annoying. I feel so crap when I start shooting a guy and miss because I'm not used to the new boxes. Still, I like this game.

I do encourage people, however, to please give this game a legitimate shot. No, it's no 1.6, no it's not Source. It's something in between. Do we deserve better? Probably. But in this day and age of what is considered "popular FPS", aside from washed up people like myself playing 1.6... it's a pretty damn good compromise. It can only get better from here with patches, community support and feedback and ideally it will thrive into a competitive title we can all enjoy. It's interesting comparing the release of SC2 compared to Global Offensive. Even though it's not a "direct sequel", it will hopefully be the successor to Counter-Strike. Almost the same things are currently "wrong" with GO that was "wrong" with SC2. Maps were bad, mechanics were dumbed down, game seemed too fast, glaring imbalances, etc. The communities for Counter-Strike are so divided and so conflicted. Makes me sad.

I'm hoping Vol comes out with more competitive map remakes like his Nuke one faster! The video I saw for it looked really good. Hopefully Mill and Fire get remade, love those maps.

The M4 is a bit more accurate, gives you a faster movement speed and has a more useful 3-shot burst pattern than the AK's 2-shot pattern. On the other hand the AK has higher damage per shot including a 1-shot headshot against armoured targets. Hard to say whether it's better or worse overall, as weapon-specific technique is so important. Personally I did a lot better with the M4 until recently. I wouldn't know about 1.6 but there are two major differences from Source: 1. The peak recoil height is now roughly the same for all assault rifles. Actually makes it easier to learn, but you do have to aim a lot lower when spraying with the M4 now. 2. The burst and spray patterns are much less random. Second M4 shot goes slightly high, third slightly higher. Second AK shot goes a bit high and right.
