Your missing Dignitas Pureball, who won i40 :O
Other then that, epic news! I've signed up for all the tournaments though I doubt I'll be able to win :D Maybe if I practice practice I can make top 8 at i47! Will be a great event as always either way

Really excited to hopefully have the whole team together at one event for i47, I-series SC2 events are definitely going in the right direction!

Insomnia is about to go boss-mode. This event is a small part of the future plans for SC2, of which I cannot reveal anything yet. Please hand me £100 bribes for more information at Insomnia47

This a huge push by a lot of parties to make something great in the UK. I'm certainly planning for huge steps above from IPL UK.

Can I ask why the ticket prices for this event are so much more expensive than for example Dreamhack? There's about 10 people at the university that would be interested in coming down, both players and spectators, but it's just too damn expensive

Actually the prices are very close to the main Dreamhack events, Same price for BYOC and cheaper for a weekend spectator pass which also includes access to camping area for cheap accommodation. The current down fall of the event is Turn up and play and that's something I hope can be improved for Starcraft at least. Large events in the UK are always costly cause venues are hard to come by but remember Multiplay offer a great deal if you buy tickets during early bird which make the tickets £72 each and sometimes cheaper.

ah right, I only looked at DH Bucharest, which is a lot cheaper, cheers

DH Bucharest isn't comparable to iSeries because it's a TUP tournament event, whereas iSeries is a 5 day BYOC event. Players for Bucharest don't have to incur the extra costs of power/network for such a long duration, and also only go to play the tournament itself, whereas at iSeries you can do a lot more.
It's certainly comparable to DH Summer/Winter though, which costs 929 SEK, which is ~ £87.
Either way, this event is gonna rock!

well theres a lot of top players signed up i hope there not just doing it for the prize and will come to i47 otherwise that would be just stupid

They won't receive the money until they attend the finals!

Yes but it's fairly certain alot of the Koreans won't attend the finals with only £150 stipend, how will that work since they will be knocking out potential players

This is a pretty good point. Seems pretty unfair on those players knocked out by the koreans

Why not do it during the summer event? The dates for the end of year LAN always suck because its not on a holiday which will just make the viewership and attended go down.
