When you do half as much for Starcraft that Moletrap has done, you can sit here and talk shit about him in a "farewell" video.
Moletrap, good luck in your future endeavors. I'm glad you got a chance to fulfill your dreams. What moletrap has done for starcraft? LOL. Look at what Starcraft did for Moletrap. He was the least talented caster in the scene after maybe HD and Husky, and was pretty much derelict when he landed a miracle job with Gom. I have to believe that pity got him that job, and convenience/low cost got him the job with OGN. I think it would be safe to assume that he was the lowest paid caster in Korean SC2. He had the exact same reaction from the fans as Kelly Milkies did, but somehow managed to dig his claws into the scene anyway. People have been hating his casting since the day he began at Gom, but he stuck around like a parasite, ruining game after game with his overzealous shoutcasting. I think that this was a desperation move in his life much more so than anything he really earned or deserved. He was the sidekick to the best English caster that BW had to offer, which really isn't saying much for those days. This should have happened ages ago when hundreds of complaints rose about his casting style. He rode that title WAY further than it should have ever been ridden. Sorry Moletrap, your passion was there but that doesn't translate to casting ability. GL finding an outlet, or possibly a marketable skill, within the world of e-sports. How about, cast videos, bring interviews with professional players, give news on non-streamed/casted games, and move to Korea where he does not know many people to try and bring more content for fans of the game? What the fuck have YOU done for Starcraft?
This has nothing to do with what I've done for Starcraft. I didn't get shipped across the world, take a casting job, refuse to step down, and scream over the recordings of hundreds of Starcraft matches. There were countless matches that I had to watch on mute, and I'm not the only one. It was a very common complaint, but nothing was done about it because Moletrap was homeless and begging for money on youtube before he went to Korea, and had nothing better to turn to, so he clung to the Korean scene, much as I said before, like a parasite. Had he actually stopped casting, and found a marketable skill in Korea, he wouldn't have had such a nasty farewell. The thread, the googling of his name, and every list of comments on just about every vod he's ever been in should show how people thought of him casting Starcraft.
Klazart casted a bunch of BW games too, would you want him speaking 750 WPM over GSL matches? Fuck no, because most people didn't like his casting.

I'd never have gotten into RTS or SC or SC2 at all if it wasn't for Moletrap and those like him who casted BW when no one else did. I'm not alone in this, I assure you. You should spend your time doing things other than spewing hatred.
It isn't hatred at all. It's glorious fate finally coming to fruition. I wish him the best as long as he doesn't try to keep casting games.

This guy is a loser.
Anyway, Moletrap, thanks for being a boss this whole time. I loved your really oldschool casts with Diggity and Klaz, back when we were all watching janked out re-streams of OSL finals at 3 AM on school nights. A lot of people dishing out criticism here were never a part of that Starcraft generation. Going from casting those to being the official caster is quite a feat. Congrats on that, and always follow what you think is right.

Good luck, Moletrap!

I like(d)(?) your casting, Moletrap! Hope you'll be back with something soon<3

I for one loved his casting. Don't know any other caster that gets so exited casting great games. Fun to listen to. He actually got me into watching at e-sports. we'll miss him.

Best of luck to him. Hopefully he will manage to stay around in the scene, he's clearly passionate about it.

My Moletrap BW commentaries vs SC2 commentaries thread.
It's sad a lot of people who are publicly flaming him or hating on him are mostly those who just entered the scene after SC2. It's kind of like Boxer - Sure he's not anywhere near the best player right now but people at least respect him for what he's done in the past. Sadly, the same cannot be said for Moletrap which is disappointing. (Also before anyone says "OMG, you compared Boxer with Moletrap", it's completely acceptable and fair comparison - Both were better in BW than in SC2 basically; the difference is that Boxer was still respected, even if he didn't always play the best, while Moletrap has had a lot of his accomplishments and credits in BW ignored.)
People haven't emphasized or credited Moletrap enough for what he done in BW. It's mostly just nothing but flame after flame on these forums. Things like that makes it hard to read these forums anytime Moletrap is mentioned, especially considering that most of the flaming is coming from people who only came onto the scene after SC2 (therefore not recognizing or being part of the community during Moletrap's BW era).
There were some people who disliked him in BW but there were the very minority (there is a minority hater for anyone, even Tasteless back then had a couple).

Congratz Moletrap, for all you accomplished. Really Really, we can all be proudfor what you done. Last BW final, casting for OSL, what a dream for an amateur caster (at the beginning of course !!!). I'll regret all your energy, all your passion. Please, please, please, keep in touch with e-sport. Do not hesitate to try to make some duos with Digitty also ^^. I loved your cast. Good luck in the future at all level. And again, keep being proud of what you did !

Banning and warning in this tread seems somewhat random...
As for Moletrap: I didn't like your casting, sorry. Since that's all I know about you, there isn't much to say, but for one thing:
The flames against you were by far too much. You are not a mass murderer, you just didn't hit the taste of a chunk of your audience. These haters should be ashamed. I wish the people had more manners...

"Makes me proud to be an American." >Someone else accomplishes something >Take pride in taking no part in reaching the goal >Americans You have been temp banned for 2 weeks by EvilTeletubby. Reason: I reviewed some of your recent warnings & posts in general; you're an awful poster that treats these boards like garbage. Something more severe than a warning is needed. Keep it up and we'll make sure you don't post here again. Well i dont think i was being that offensive, it was merely a joke. But i forgot where i was posting. http://imageshack.us/a/img823/7813/1349997893626.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img717/3792/1349997866460.pngSee, this is a police state where nerds become mods and go on power trips because of the power bestowed upon them. This is why i havent been posting a lot, and why i wont miss this place. Because god forbid you bump a 2000 page thread to talk about something, without reading all 2000 pages to make sure your point hasnt been discussed yet. And god forbid your sense of humor is different from that of the mods, or you say anything critical about a player. Like how Nony has been a total faggot the last few days, or that Incontrol cant play for shit. So whatever, ban me. Make me a martyr. We all know what's going on in this shitty place. I also sometimes think TL crosses the line with bans, I've seen a lot of bans that dont make sense.. but who cares you get banned for a few days.. woopdidoo.. if you dont post much here anyway, but just like reading shit then it doesnt change anything... pretty hilarious photo though :D anyway on the subject of moletrap, i am sorry to see him leave.. his shouting always excited me when there was action (also in a non-sexual way).. hehe i remember some games going on, i would have them alt-tabbed and then as soon as i hear the moletrap voice acceleration i would switch over and watch again :D it was good stuff!
I've been banned temporarily like 3-4 times and not once have I disagreed with it. If you get banned/warned you probably deserved it and trying to state otherwise is just being childish.

Moletrap didnt fake his excitement, and while he wasnt the most knowledged commentator, he still brought a lot of pasion into the game. Best regards!

Damn Moletrap, you don't deserve most of the flaming you've gotten...I've enjoyed your casts every time I tuned in to the GSL ...Guess this is just the end of the line...
I'm sorry that SCII may not be what you wanted, not the next BW...but I'm happy that you've given your best to us regardless.
Major respect.

Congratulations community for ousting Moletrap.
You got him replaced by a LoL caster, which to me is absolutely delicious.
Enjoy.
Good luck Moletrap. =[

Best of luck Moletrap, it's be a blast watching you cast!

I'm not trying to be offensive, talking totally subjective, but honestly, i've never enjoyed his casts, never thought he has a good understanding of the game and i hope he does better in LoL, cause out of all sc2 english casters in korea, i think he was by far the worst.
Saying that, this is only my opinion, since I only like casters that actually give some insight into strategies/their thoughts on decisions, not just plain explaining what i already see on the screen myself. This is why Grubby is awesome, pro player with great casting abilities and gives very good insight especially when it comes to protosses, since he can relate many decisions/strategies on himself.
Same goes for player streams, if they bother commentating every now and then like idra/demuslim, it gives so much more worth to watching the stream, cause u actually learn the thought process of some of the very best foreigners, not just see a build that wouldn't be good in any other case than this exact reason we don't get to know about often.

I still don't understand why OGN is going to have 2 commentators who have no real SC2 knowledge/expertise... (no offense DoA) I would really like to see some kind of analytical caster paired with DoA.
