How mighty are most of the participants? And how does the tourney system work? Round Robin so people get to play more games? oO

The format is gone over in detail in the OP, but essentially it's a best of 3 double elimination bracket...the minimum amount of games you can play before being eliminated is 4.
Participants will range in skill, I know of a couple gold/platinum level players who told me they're for sure attending and we have Grandmasters coming as well.
We have had events in the past with split player pools (bronze -> plat, diamond + ) but for this event we are taking a different approach as our goal is one competitive bracket and a big singular prize pool.
As the OP also says, everyone should come play because we plan on having prizes that everyone who enters will have a chance to win!

I'm going to get owned but this sounds like too much fun to pass up! Thanks for putting this on guys!

Any word on some big names coming to this tournament yet? Excited that Saskatchewan gets some action in the scene!

No 100% confirmations on players as of yet that I would necessarily call ''big names'' but some definite top tier talent, there is a couple big names that are likely coming but I don't want to commit for them.
In the big names department though we did snag what might be the final piece to our casting crew.. Braiden 'Psylence' Watling from Manitoba is coming down for the day! Braiden has casted for ESLTV, Baselan, Playhem, and might most notably be known for his casting at MLG Columbus Winter Championship!
We're excited for the experience and skill that Psylence brings to the team and can't wait to have him cast alongside Schicky and Iselian!

Did anyone PM Chill? Don't know if this is road trip worthy but it would be awesome to see him there, maybe guest commentate a game or two?

I think he's planning on coming, won't know for sure until closer to the date! Don't know if he wanted to cast but maybe you can sweet talk him

That would be sweet! The more top competitors the better.

Just got confirmation that Madcatz and co. (Tritton, Cyborg, Saitek, etc.) is going to be sending us some product for prizes/giveaways at the event! More big announcements to come in the next few days!

Definitely excited to hit this up. I'm only a Platinum level player, but I played in the tournament leading up to the AccessTV event, and it was a blast.

Damn I wish I lived closer to the prairies Hf ~

Sick news guys! The day after KotP the local TV station is going to be hosting an 8 man televised tournament in studio where all participants get meals and the prior nights hotel paid for. The prizes for that event will also be really sick and the tournament will be aired on TV in Saskatchewan! Really excited for this!
