Year's bests: squat: 153kg (like around may lol) front squat: 115kg snatch: 65kg c&j: 90kg (95kg clean) deadlift: 155kg Finding TL&HF is the best thing I've done fitness wise. Thanks for all the help and inspiration guys - whenever I read posts about decaf snatching big weights or gotunk! squatting jupiter I just want to go lift even harder. Next year could potentially suck since I start 8hr shifts - but here's to a good 2012 I had my grad party and goddamn I don't remember half of it. OHP: 65kgx3x10 (Weight/volume PR) Everything felt too easy, felt kinda bad lol After new year I'll stay away from booze around 10 days, gonna post progress pics after that. I find I can either drink, get stronger or get leaner (2 of 3), but not the tree ;(

Squat 1x3 60, 85, 100, 120, 140, 1x1 160, 3x1 175kg, 1x2 165kg - 175kg was pretty simple. Tried videoing the last set but I pointed the phone too low so you couldn't really see anything. BP 1x3 50, 60, 70, 80, 1x2 92.5, 2-2-3F 102.5kg, 1x7 85kg - I could have probably had a triple in the first set, but no spotter. Chinups 3-3-2 +40kg L Pullups 5-5-4 Dips 5-4-5 +26.5kg, 1x15 bw

ohp 50kg 5-5-5 dead 115kg 6-5-5 bench 70kg 11 will try to go on saturday before work cant afford to have any more gaps in my spreadsheet!! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjIvzoW04fGQdHl2cl9wU3ZnZndCNlN1OC1EWm14RlE used my new weightlifting belt for deadlift today not sure if i like it or not i couldnt really tell how good my form was , whether or not i had a flat back, with it on and upon finishing the second set my back actually hurt in a way that it'd never hurt before (not a usual ache or usual burn), i was very worried for a few minutes till it went away. i went ahead and tried it for the third set (wasnt going to at first) and it went okay that time.. so i dont really know what my conclusion is. i feel like it might be safer for me to actually not use the belt, because i can get a better feel of how flat/correct i have my back positioned without it. ill probably use it a couple more sessions to see how it goes maybe i had it too tight and it was pushing against me too tight which caused trouble hrm

You should be feeling the IAP to be higher, like ur head goes red like a tomato. I think it depends on what type of belt u have, but with a proper belt you should be able to lift more weight 100%. That happens with this belt: http://site.irongladiators.com/images/PRODUCTSBIG/inzer-lever-belt-13mm.jpg or this (for fat people, since lever is easier to adjust but pinchs the skin) http://www.criticalbench.com/images/powerlifting/weight-lifting-belts2.jpg (lether 10mm or 13mm belt) This is crap, and you might as well burn it. I would strongly advice against using them. http://www.bebodysmart.com/mmDEF/Images/WeightliftingBelts.jpg http://assets.academy.com/mgen/58/10126958.jpg?is=500,500 http://www.advancedfightgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ASG-NLB.jpg (the last one is god awful) Still, once you get used to it just train raw and add the belt to lift more weight on PR attempts.

Also, if your belt is comfortable enough to wear in your sleep or day to day activities then it isn't a good lifting belt. The last thing you'll want to do with an Inzer is keep it on after a set

today: bench 80kg 7-7-7. sick, will go for the 85kg next time pclean 65kg 3 reps , fucked my wrist up warming up, pushed thru 3 reps but it was just too much agony per rep to continue. will be fine, cant wait to try again coz i felt like i could have a go at 70kg (wtf!) squat 70kg 5, 80kg 5, 75kg 5. forgot to bring my belt to try it out with squat for the first time. was leaning on 80kg (dangerous for back) but still pretty shocked i can do 75kg pretty easily considering how long i slacked off for chinup 15 singles. fuck yeah i fucking love doing chinup singles!! fuck!! man i get so far over the bar now and let out a massive yell at the top like im standing on a mountain screaming from the heavens. next session maybe ill do like 1-2-1-2-1-2 etc tho im not sure i can do 2 reps yet, i prefer doing just 1 with great range but wtvr grip work holding the +/-45kg dumbells curl 15kg 3x7 abs!! for the first time. i done 3x8 knee raises from a dip bar. it was pretty awesome actually. tried a 4th set but couldnt do it lolo roll on monday where i see where my ohp has ended up after slacking off. if its good i might be trying 55kg for the first time (im way behind schedual). also moar squat moar pc edit: sadly cudnt do anything of delt side raise, left shoulder clicking and super fucked couldnt even handle 5kg ffs. not like ive been lying on it afaik ...

Anyway, today: BP 1x3 50, 65, 75, 85, 5x3 97.5kg - some guy was in the rack when I came in so I BPed first. Last couple of sets were starting to feel a bit heavy, but I should be good for 5x3 100kg next week. Squat 1x3 60, 85, 110, 130, 1x1 150, 3x3 165kg - wasn't too hard or too easy. Chin ups 3x3 +40kg L Pullups 3x5 Dumbbell BP 8-5-5 32.5kg - pleased about getting 8 reps on the first set, kinda disappointed about the sharp drop on the other two though.

Thread always seems to get quiet during vacation times. Looking forward to all the updates I will be making to the OP on the first of the year - I know I've missed a few people's deadlines, but... they haven't posted anyhing new. Just a reminder, if you're updating goals on the first of the year (or any other time) put, in bold at the top of the post "Goals Update"

I don't have any goals yet so it's a new addition. 01/01/2013 -> 31/03/2012 Press: 62.5kg 1RM to 72.5kg Log Press: 75kg 1RM to 85kg Overhead is all I'm going to set a goal for. I'm happy with my squat and DL progression, they're coming along well on 5/3/1. My press isn't high enough that I need to be on 5/3/1 with it to be honest, so I'm going to try and work out a way to change how I'm training it. Maybe I'll look into Smolov Jr for it or something. EDIT: Looked in my log and saw I'd lifted 62.5kg before for 1, so upped it by 2.5kg.

BW 59kg Squat 105kg 3x5 (this basically killed me though) Deadlift 130kg 1x5 (I also did 135kg 1x5 and 140kg 1x3) Row 70kg 5x5 I missed Press 55kg 5x5 (got 52.5kg 5x5 twice, I can get this soon though) Bench 70kg 5x5 (I almost got 67,5kg 5x5. I just didn't work enough on this) Going to be doing 1RMs in two weeks.
