Notice how I avoid any reference to the fact that she's a woman. I'm judging her as a player and a player only. I'm not sexist in any way, and I think it's sad that I feel like have to mention this to avoid any potential sexist claims.

for exemple, she'll animate a weekly show on the [M]Tv

The StarCraft 2 roster welcomes a new recruit, only two months after the arrival of Goswser. Is the arrival of MaddeLisk a strategical choice or just a good opportunity ? Not so long ago, Quantic closed its doors, leaving MaddeLisk teamless. Looking for a stable team, this was an opportunity for Millenium to include in its roster the best female european player of SC2. Actually I'd say it's a good opportunity. However, this recruitment will probably influence some of the future strategical choices. What's the goal of the arrival of MaddeLisk and how will we see her throughout the year ? The main reason is that I have the feeling that MaddeLisk wasn't enough highlighted although she's the best female european player and it's possible, with an efficient collaboration, to forge his image on a media and market level. Like most of the players, she'll intervene through 3 ways : - She'll regularly participate to online tournaments (ZOTAC, showmatches...) under Millenium's tag. - She'll present a weekly show on Millenium TV with Nazca (Millenium writer TN) who you discovered at Numericable M-House Cup. - She'll participate to a few offline events, the number is mainly due to his level of play at the moment. Some people will make the link with Dragon as a TV-oriented recruitment rather than a pick based only on the performance. Is it the case ? Dragon was never recruited for the TV, he didn't even participate directly to it. But I understand that it can be considered as a mediatic choice. Dragon was motivated to play in Europe, he had a really good micro and a great room for improvement. My goal was to give him a chance to show that he could be in the top 5 european terran players, which wasn't really far than he was, and to show to other koreans with higher skill that it was possible for Millenium to recruit and welcome them to the Gaming House while providing transportation to many events. That's why ForGG joined the team a few time after. But we are going far from the topic. Regarding MaddeLisk, there is obviously a mediatic reason to his arrival and I think she can bring a lot to Millenium and that Millenium can bring her a lot, which is a good basis for an interesting collaboration. Furthermore, as the best female european player, I consider her as high-skilled, even it's not on the traditional scale. So I'd say her recruitment answers to both problems. While DIMAGA is still teamless and most of the Millenium community was expecting his coming, it's eventually MaddeLisk who arrives. Should the fans be disappointed or shouldn't them expecting that Millenium recruits all the free players ? DIMAGA is one of the most stable players in the european scene since the beginning of StarCraft 2. His salary requirements are related, which is legitimate. It's not a scoop that Millenium decided to invest a lot on a competitive roster for LoL with the goal to qualify to Season 3, making a high-budget recruitment on SC2 difficult. Some may scream to death, but what makes Millenium the first French team is precisely lucidity on a sector that works sometimes on the head. Sunday, the season 3 dream of Millenium is gone and it's too early to make conclusions. A meeting will be held shortly to ask tags esport Millenium activity for 2013 and thus determine the operating budget of the SC2 section. Women's esport has trouble to break through and the only game that has an active scene is Counter Strike. Do you think that one day female esport on SC2, and in general, may be democratized ? I don't think it's possible for female esport to be democratized on SC2 because there are not enough womens playing SC2. However, there is an important margin between its current state and what it could be. Then, with the arrival of MaddeLisk, it's probable that Millenium will participate more actively to evolve this scene. Out of SC2, I believe it's obviously possible to promote female esport on an esport game with many female players, now I don't think it exists today, so we'll see the reception of the female community for the next esport-stamped game. Are you not scared about a possible lack of concentration from the players with the arrival of a girl ? Since the lucky kiss case, I have the feeling that it improves the concentration (although the effect only lasts 2 games alas), anyway I know a Zerg who seems to have had a very beneficial effect, so I'm not too worried !

How can people not understand why she was chosen over Dimaga? There are plenty of reasons why which are pretty easy to understand. Whenever a popular team announces they are signing someone the community lists off the 2-3 most expensive players on the market and then when they aren't signed doesn't understand how this is. I say this not because i don't understand, but because Mill. Manager has shown interest in Dimaga for a long time now(1-2 years iirc). Since Dimaga is a free agent it seemed more likely to happen with the recent hints of Millenium picking up another player. So yeah, that's why I say its interesting. I'm not sure how some people could not understand why others might have expected them to pick up Dimaga with this information being out there :D

I just know that Mill has been interested in him for awhile so it i figured they would pick him up since he is a free agent. Of course they are interested ... but there is a difference between some interest and action. They don't have the budget for him because of League of Legends. But Team Millenium LoL showed some poor results lately, and it's possible that some money that went to this section, finally go to SC2's section. And I'm not sur if Llewellys would take a big name. Actually he's known for his great pick-up such as Goswser (showed great results since his arrival in Millenium like 3 - 0 against Mvp), ForGG of course, he wasn't the best Korean out there (Was also SuperNova), but also showed excellent results. And you have to understand that a Major factor for Llewellys is the Gaming house. He wants that players come to the Gaming House. Apparently, SuperNova didn't wanted to come like 70/80% of Korean Players. They just want to practice on Korean Ladder and stay home or play in a Korean Gaming House.

Definitely best female in Europe, but she could break further. She's one of the few female competitors who can be expected to bring results in non-female tournaments. So congrats to MaddeLisk and to Millenium!
