Balance whine in this thread so far: ktgster pylonsalad YourHarry Tsubbi At some point, balance whines are legitimate. When the cost-effectiveness in terms of resources and attention devoted to dropping 4 fire-and-forget units vs the amount needed to defend it is so one-sided, the game design is flawed.

I just simply have not seen that build held and am wondering which zergs have held this, sorry if this was not clear. iirc effort defended it and won afterwards, albeit all his forces had gone to a counter push. ps: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/hots/games/162278_EffOrt_vs_Hack

Life died to the same thing, it seems the even if you have positioned at your bases, the terran drops in your mineral line regardless and does insane damage. I know flash is god etc etc, but what can Z do against that? theres nothing u can do period, roro had perfect scouting and preparation with roaches and queens in mineral lines, the terran will still drop into it and be more than cost efficient, any fair terran will admit that theres a problem with hellbat drops User was warned for this post

In sc2 the battle happens so quickly we see Roro gg with 180 supply lol.

Anyway 4 people is very low in TL standards, your outrage is invalid. Btw you went into my history and that's all the whine you could find? lol. I've complained way harder than that.

roro actually did have some static defenses. and iirc, roro did react to these drops better than other zerg pros i have seen hellbat drops against. edit: noticed someone post an effort game. i will check it out thanks.

It's all about timing and how much do you cut your own economy to be able to pull the strong aggression off. Terran suffers no economic cost for doing hellbat drops. Its a false comparison you're making.

I want to know if there are other ways to defend against hellbat drops than to having to sacrifice a lot of econ to build static defenses so early in the game. also i want to know if there have been pro games where zerg player successfully stopped hellbat drops. roro actually did have some static defenses. and iirc, roro did react to these drops better than other zerg pros i have seen hellbat drops against. edit: noticed someone post an effort game. i will check it out thanks. the only high level korean game a terran lost with this build is in the ro32 of this season where life on daybreak counterattacked with 28 drones left vs 3 cc terran, it only worked becuz the terran fucked up though, if you try to defend and macro up its a lost cause though
