Hello,
What I dont get is why athletes/celebs can behave poorly in public/towards the community yet progamers cannot. I can understand releasing him due to poor performance(i don't really follow sports so I dont know about his performance) but kicking him out due to behavior to me shows more of a weakness of the management of EG rather than idra because they could not control him. In classic sports to get kicked off a team or out of the sport for behaviour you have to do some terrible stuff - i.e Mike Tyson had to bite and ear off before they kicked him out of boxing, his rape beef even did nothing. Kobes rape beef also did not stop him, neighter did Vicks dog fighting involvement. Idra tells some people to fuck off and hes off the team. To me thats a little crazy.
p.s despite all Tyson is still my fav athlete.

He does not need to play a game that he hates any more. He does not need to interact with a shitty community like we are in his eyes any more. He does not need to drink this unhealthy monster stuff any more.
For what more can you ask? He clearly has some problems and should not stand in public at this point any more.
Why has this not been emphasised. IdrA can go get a real job now.

Number of things. He said to caposh that he wished him cancer. Wrote that david kim should be raped by an tire iron. Posted on a forum that his fans are fucks. Refused to play his teammate Demuslim for weeks plus something we maybe dont know about. He never said his fans were fucks, he said the starcraft community in general was. He was mostly right. Yes because his fans aren't part of the community, or the community for that matter. If you use your brain he's obviously not talking about fans and all of the community. If you use yours, and read the quote and the context, you would realize he is talking ABOUT his fans. Who is pandaring or posing with BM to get exposure ? Idra Who are you watching ? Idra What was his point ? That the "community" followed people who entertain them instead of skill. And those are the fucks. So yes, it is about YOU and his fans. The delusion of the idra fans is amazing. It's a good thing I'm not an IdrA fan, neither do I hate him. It's not his fault he has to deal with immature 20-30 year olds everyday (that actually think they're mature)

I dont get why everyone talks about his performances, IdrA is a monument, a Starcraft legend... So many peoples started playing/watching Starcraft because of him.
Its a sad day, especially if he doesnt comeback to Starcraft.

Tell me more about what constitutes a "real" job.

EGTL is the first foreign team in proleague. A FOREIGN TEAM IN PROLEAGUE. (which too bad idra didnt get to play) that is biggest news i've ever related to eg or liquid. 2nd news: jaedong in eg.
but no, idra is the shit huh? I agree, I really don't even know many people who have used EG and Idra in the same sentence except to talk about his results lately. When you say EG, i think about Stephano, Thorzain and the really good Korean pick ups that are fighting it out in Proleauge. I also think about Demu getting 10k+ viewers on stream pretty regularily. Tbh, to me Idra hasn't been a relevant part of EG for some time now.

Either something stable that isn't entrenched in trashy celebrity culture, or something that he actually loves doing?

Absolutely the worst post I've ever read on this site, and I've read a lot of bad ones. Dialogue like this is why getting help for mental problems/disorders is such an issue in modern society. Furthermore, there is absolutely no evidence that Idra has DSM-IV disorder especially bipolar disorder. Really just a disgusting post.

Or the something he likes doing part :>

It's odd to see this, but I definitely saw it coming eventually. I think this would be a good time for IdrA to really think over his behavior, his attitude, and especially his skill level when he doesn't have that negative mentality. There was that short while where his BM was relatively minor and his skills were really looking top shape, almost capable of being better than some of the top Koreans, but then after he lost in a tournament he kind of went downhill again. I'm an IdrA fan when he's playing well and has a good mentality, but not when he's being disrespectful and negative far more than he is being a great player. Anyways, best of luck to IdrA as he figures this stuff out and best wishes to making a great transition. Maybe he'll find a team that can bring out the best in him, even if EG has been that team for the past 3 years.

but no, idra is the shit huh? No, it's not nearly the biggest EG/TL news outside Korea. Proleague might be a big deal over there, but it gets roughly 10k foreign viewers while MLG and DH are rocking easily over 100k.
I'm honestly surprised EG is putting so much effort in their proleague team, considering how few people watch it.

There's also a winning element attached to players that behave poorly argument. I would argue that during good times (e.g. championship runs), you can overlook the poor behavior, but once the team has troubles, then the focus is squarely on the actions. I think as IdrA's sc2 competitive results have faded, it's become harder and harder to ignore his behavior.

this wouldn't have happened if idra was playing well lol

cant say he didnt deserve it I used to be a huge Idra fan, but after the slumped and started acting like this, I couldnt like him anymore
|
Lol @ Idra fan's projecting their angst and emotional instability on Demuslim, one of the nicest guys in the entire community.
No doubt jealously is playing some part in this, as Demuslim regularly gets more than double the stream-views that's Idra has been, well before and after Idra went "emo" and started to quit all games versus all players he could not beat on the ladder.
Really enjoyable waking up to see this thread still going strong with the crazies. Lol!

Indeed. On the one hand, it is obviously a big topic that is worth talking about, on the other this is almost purely arguing and flaming for the sake of arguing and flaming. It doesn't go anywhere. The problem might be that if this was closed, the shitfest would continue in the fanclub thread or somewhere else it doesn't belong.

Thanks for that powerful response.
I must've forgotten about how irrelevant people like Jaedong are and about all those really sick tournament results from Idra.
/Sarcasm
Literally all Idra has done for a while now is rage quit tourney games, bm the community, and sit at home and lose on ladder. That sounds relevant to you?
