We hear you and we will definitely keep this in mind for our future qualifiers. IEM Shanghai was announced quite late and there wasn't much time to organise these qualifiers with MLG Anaheim this weekend and WCS Challenger running so late (and qualifiers starting again next week). Please also keep in mind that whoever qualifies for IEM Shanghai will need to take care of getting a visa in time and we need some time to book proper flights for the players... Bottom line: There was very little time to run these qualifiers and we will look to improve this drastically for the upcoming events.

I had 4 more rounds to go to qualify for the 2nd stage which means I probably would have finished playing at 1-2am EST. Do I have to gather signatures from every player to make those qualifiers be on a week end during the afternoon? It kills me inside knowing I have to adapt my sleep schedule just to play in this qualifier since I always wake up at 6am everyday and of course you might say I'm writing this post because I lost and I'm upset but if you compare ESL NA to ESL EU, most of their cups start at 2pm CET. Why can't it be the same for us ? I understand most players living on the west coas are probably not affected by this but I think it's a reasonable change. Some people have jobs and cant afford to play at any time of the day, 8EST is a good middle ground for the entire continent stop your complaining.

Another thing to note is the time of the tournament has been moved from 8:00 pm EST to two hours earlier now starting at 6:00 pm EST. This should help in preventing the cup from going too late into the night. See you all there!

Double-elim for America and SEA, single elim for Europe, how does that make any sense!? Its because we are given freedom to choose which format we think will work best for our region. Double Elim I feel works best for americas region to give the players more games instead of 1 game and ur out.
