Doctor Who tends to reuse actors a lot, since there's a finite supply of British actors and an effectively infinite number of Dr Who character roles. Some British actors played as many as six distinct roles in the old show. Capaldi won't be the first Doctor to have appeared previously either. Colin Baker played a Gallifreyan guard who used a stungun on Peter Davidson's Doctor a few episodes before taking over the role himself. He jokes that he got the role by shooting the incumbent. | ||
