He has been losing a lot, lately, anyway. Who knows, maybe he'll be staying in Korea? Maybe he won't even join Acer. O__________O I'm becoming a big fan of Acer, though. Too many teams to like! -goes to check for acer hoodies- I'm pretty sure that Nerchio and Bly are "huge blessings" in the same way that Speed and Bee were "helpful practice partners" for Jaedong back in the days of Oz...

Because Kespa would be losing control of their best player? basically. with SC2 in such a tenuous position in Korea and teams like STX basically hanging on, having a player of that caliber jump ship doesn't look so good. it's a big blow to proleague in particular. a dip in form would also be likely, even if there are some team house to freelance success stories I agree that it would be a big blow to the Korean scene, I guess mostly the Kespa side since eSF has always had to deal with this. None of them could prevent EG from taking their players if they really wanted to(other than the super loyal ones like nestea). But for the overall scene I don't think it would be such a bad thing, at least on Acer Innovation would be able to go to many international tournaments like Jaedong has been doing, thanks to EG Jaedong has become one of the most popular players in sc2. If Innovation gets paraded around the world he could receive the same treatment. I think it would also be super interesting to see him play on axacer in GSTL. Agree. These inter tour really became JD's salvation. He's a huge fan favor now. If only kespa could loose their restriction, players like Bisu, Stork might already have a chance to shine. Since the korean sc2 scene is going nowhere, i really hope these BW big names got a second chance by join international teams. Innovation certainly will benefit a lot from all those international tournaments if he joined Acer.

Acer isn't even that high profile of a team, maybe its different perspectives in Europe but when i think of European teams acer isnt exactly the first that comes to mind. Dont think acer will blow the money on a high end kespa player and even if they wanted to why would they want to play for acer, they dont even have there own teamhouse Acer got a teamhouse in Germany and in Korea they were in the Axiom teamhouse Its going to be welmu, mark this post and use it as reference on the 1st. I don't think it's going to be welmu by the color of the hand on Scarlett's shoulder. Welmu is a very pale kid and the pigmentation of the hand that's on Scarlett's shoulder is a bit darker, so by context I'm going to go with the new player being a Korean. Among the koreans, I'm not sure anymore whether the new player will actually be Terran anymore. Still, Acer.Innovation would be cool but I'm probably going way off lol. innovation will never be a member of Acer, just like Lebron James will never be a member of the Charlotte Bobcats. Stars dont play for mediocre teams. I cant believe how many people think this is actually going to happen or they just like to live in a dream world. Innovations team just won proleague, and STX will match anything Acer would give him to keep him on the team. Plus, he gets to keep living and training with other high end Koreans, and not mma/scarlett/nerchio. STX easily has players just as good if not better and people dont even know who they are because they arnt foreigners or past gsl champions. Yeah it would be cool, in a fantasy world. You really can't compare the two at all here. Your ability to win in a team game like basketball hinges on your teammates' ability, whereas SC2 is a solo game. Yes, there are a lot of perks with playing on certain SC2 teams (travel, comfortable living, etc), but ultimately your ability to succeed rests on your own shoulders and not your teammates. SC2 players will go where the money/opportunity is. You have to keep in mind that Bogus wasn't a top 5 player; INnoVation is. When you go from zero to hero in a couple months, you absolutely HAVE to ride your success and try to land a big contract while you're still relevant. We're already starting to see INnoVation struggle a little bit (he's still amazing, but he can be stopped now). The longer he waits, the more he risks losing the hype around his name, which could cost him a big contract. It doesn't matter if Acer is a "worse team." If INnoVation likes what they have to offer, that's where he will go. Also, I think people really overestimate the "practice partner" aspect of teams. I forget if Revival or Oz said it at IEM Shanghai, but they apparently didn't play against each other much even though they lived in the same house (with Coach Park, mind you) for Proleague. Most pros seem to practice by grinding out ladder games because you get to experience a huge variety of play styles, builds, etc. Plus, the WCS map pool is now being used for ladder maps. I feel a little silly for typing all this when we really don't know if INnoVation is going anywhere, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

I have to agree, I think the hints are just trolling on the part of Acer/Scarlett. Even if STX is doing so badly financially that they wouldn't re-sign their star player, I'd be extremely surprised if none of the other KeSPA teams would have picked him up. Though, to be fair, Acer isn't really a mediocre team, at least in terms of the foreign scene, but it doesn't have anywhere near the brand recognition of EG/TL/the like. Player should go where they can make the most money. In Korea player like Innovation can only make money from the salary. Considering he was a nobody in BW he probably made some shitty salary and because STX is in financial trouble it looks like Innovation won't get a pay bump. Joining Acer a player like him can make decent money from the foreign tourney (MC makes $250K in 3 years and he is not even that good of a player, Taeja and Hero each made close to $100K in 2012 in tournament winnings alone). And he will also be a lot more popular. So unless he is blinded with elitism like the poster above he should just go where the money & fame is. PL would be hurt but imo PL is actually a pretty insignificant part of than SC2 scene. I mean, SC2 is not a team sport and forcing the weird team format doesn't make it one. There is little to no teamwork involved in the PL matches. It's like tennis. There are team cups for tennis but with way lower money/prestige and I doubt anybody give a fuck. Yes it worked in BW for some weird reason but we shouldn't expect it to work in SC2. It would be perfectly fine if PL is a side thing, not the main reason Kespa players play SC2 for. What a huge waste of talents. In fact, I'd love to see more Kespa players joining foreign teams, and WCS EU/NA even. I think that would be a good trend for SC2.

- Definitely a star with a huge fan base. - Eliminated before the Ro8 - Terran - His 'Goodbye' message on Facebook after he got beat in the Up-and-Down matches. Could mean his last match with Prime. - Wouldn't be able to announce until September 1st because of his Prime contract not ending till then. We've basically heard nothing from MKP since everyone was talking about how he might retire

He has been losing a lot, lately, anyway. Who knows, maybe he'll be staying in Korea? You're making a lot of assumptions on how the team operates internally. Just because a player gets signed by the organization and wears the same shirt color as the others doesn't mean the team interactions work as smoothly and that training is going to be productive. Getting the most out of joint practice depends a lot on communication, as well as genuine commitment of both players to practicing with each other. On the topic of Bogus in general, it's questionable if he would be able to remain a top player for a long period of time (even on STX). We all know that these apparent god-tier players in Starcraft 2 tend to come and go very quickly, and there have been very few of them who were able to make a comeback after their first initial downfall. Especially considering that there's no way of knowing how he will adapt to an environment radically different from the only thing he knows, and how he will handle being taken out of his comfort zone. It's a massive risk. It's just a weird move and doesn't seem very well thought through, especially in the long run.
