I switched to BW and am having a blast even though I comparatively suck (nothing prepares you for Terran macro in BW coming from SC2, ahaha). I imagine that LoL feels the same in a different way. Sure it is not mechanically demanding (which is what I love and am looking for), but it sure must have a fuckton of strategic/teamplay depth which is probably very rewarding to him and other SC2 players who switched. There has to be this feeling that no matter how good you get, there is always still more which you can work on (whether mechanically or strategically). The ceiling needs to feel limitless! I imagine LoL does as well as Bw, just in a different way. Roll on Beasty! I don't know if I'll tune in as I did before since I personally don't hold much interest in LoL, but I'll sure tune in every once in awhile just to see your kickass character. Basically what this guy said. I always regarded LoL as an easy-ass game with no mechanical ceiling, basically like every one of us spiteful SC2 jerks. And while this is true (no APM APM APM) there, decision making, knowledge of the game, scouting and teamplay are SO much more important than in SC2, that it definitely makes up for the lack of spamming. Oh, and "easier to learn" = nonono, 115 heroes with 5 unique traits = thousands of fucking matchups to learn, which is definitely longer to learn than SC2's couple dozens units. I love both games, but it's important to stop being blind, SC2 isn't the only hard game out there.

Hope there´s less haters in LoL, but I kind of doubt it. It´s the internet.

Nope, I lost my passion for Starcraft II long time ago and I want to do something I love and enjoy doing, that something was once Starcraft II and it's time for me to move on. I can understand that. Good luck with LoL.

Literally due to no region locking there is no real "foreign scene in sc2".wcs na is korean beside scarlett and the only reason europe still gives the illusion of having many foreigners is because of lag so many koreans can not get easy wins. Beastique is probably right to switch to lol although in the european scene it is not easy in lol either and also there are many amateur lol teams that once were in the lcs and now want to come back. Not to mention in the sc2 scene very few foreigners appear becuase most foreign teams prefer to hire washed up koreans and put them in regional wcs stages plus the fact that as a foreigner you do not have many tournaments and even in those that exist you get knocked out in the first rounds by a korean. My guess if that either studio play or region locking is not introduced in 2 years there will be maximum 5 foreigners together in the scene.

Also I like the fact that he writes about a general problem: Last reason and biggest reason is just the haters. Yes, yes I know I shouldn't listen to them because there will always be haters, but what can I say it affected me..a lot. I don't think people that insult you on daily basis realize how much they can have affect on you, your play and your motivation. People you insult online are real people and everyone including me don't realize that there is actually real person behind the screen and some of them won't care about what you have to say, but some of them you will hurt. This looks like just some writing about personal feelings, but it is actually a real problem many people do underestimate a lot. It is great to see that Beastyqt has the courage to post this! GL with whatever comes next!

You should go back to BW for having fun on a video game. (And I want to take my revenge from your nukes in craftcup, I didn't forget).
