As far as chat being toxic, what makes it toxic is haters coming into chat with their bad manners. At times mods can barely keep up. We run a pretty tight ship in chat, but have been told by many others that most streams don't give warnings, they just ban. We, on the other hand, like to give the haters the benefit of the doubt and give them warnings before a time out. Last night a person who was making insane comments and was breaking the house rules (not to mention annoying other viewers, who kept telling me to just ban him) was given over seven warnings, because he really wasn't being bad mannered, but was sorely wrong in what he was saying. After the last warning, he was banned. I then received a heart-warming PM that stated "F...You, B...." hahaha Ofc, according to him, I was in the wrong for banning him. We not only discourage bad manners in avilo's chat, but insist that his regular viewers do not display bad manners in other streamer's chat. I've seen you on avilo's stream a lot and you've, for the most part, been a very mannered viewer; however, my suggestion to you would be if you have a problem with avilo or his chat, don't watch. It would be much nicer than spreading hate in his FanClub thread. Thank you, again, for taking the time to post your opinion.

So avilo according to this other guy starts the game with name calling somebody, then being a man-child floats his CC away, and thats totally ok in your eyes because he played 14 tvps, and if you don't like it you can not watch. So, theres this little thing in life that everyone experiences, its called criticism. When you avoid criticism and make excuses constantly you don't learn, you don't improve, you don't grow as a human being. Stop sticking your fingers in you and avilos ears and singing "LALAALALLALALALALA" the moment someone says something negative about the stream. Believe it or not, not all criticism is to just fuck with your head or make you feel shitty, some of it is actually constructive. Hence constructive criticism (something many people in this thread have given avilo, but apparently they're always the bad guy) "Don't like it don't watch it" what a disgustingly simple way to view things. Maybe people like watching avilos stream but don't like the way he acts sometimes? Have you or avilo ever thought about that before? Maybe they want to see avilo not be such a jerk to others and would rather see him succeed with a good attitude? He has MANY, and I mean many valid complaints, I agree with him on a lot of things and I don't even play T or P. But I'd much rather see him complain and try to get things changed in a constructive way instead of calling somebody a bitch motherfucker and floating his cc, like what the hell is that? Is that honestly too much to ask? Maybe it is. Avilo ignores all (probably most, not all) criticism and you just tell everybody if they don't like it leave. I also honestly can't believe that you can openly discuss how nice and mannered a viewer has been, but in the same breath tell him that he shouldn't watch if hes going to "spread hate". ...... are you for real? He's not spreading hate, he's calling out another human being for being mean, thats not "spreading hate". You yourself said hes been mannered in the chat, then he comes in here and just simply mentions that avilo was being a jerk one day, and you label it as "spreading hate". Thats the definition of a joke right there. You are beyond delusional if you actually believe that every single person out there just hates on avilo for no reason. I'm on the side that avilo gets way too much shit, more than he deserves for sure, but to act like even a portion of it isn't justified shows how blind you can be. It's not even just love at this point, its a willful desire to just ignore a very obvious issue with how avilo treats opponents. I don't care how many tvp's he played in one day, I don't care if every single P was BM vs him for literally no reason, I don't care if they messaged him after the game to rub it in or whatever. It doesn't give him the right to treat an opponent like garbage, to treat another human being like trash. If he did, he should apologize, thats what adults do, or at least try to make an effort to not be that way again. He doesn't need people like you giving excuses for every action he commits, he doesn't need a justifiable reason to be implemented into every bad decision he makes. He needs to own up to his mistakes, and how can he do that when people such as yourself just immediately defend him and brush the issue off likes its nothing? Fact is avilos a cool dude, good player, amusing personality, but a douche to a good percentage of his opponents. Why's the last part so necessary? All of his comments are just in jest? I don't believe that nonsense sorry. No matter how much both of you say it. There's a difference between being humorously bad mannered, and just a douchebag. and if he was lifting his cc cussing somebody out, then, for at least that very moment, he fell under the latter category. Is that a big deal? No, everybody has those moments where they acted like a dick, everybody. But what do you do to fix it? Make excuses? Have your GF endlessly defend you? etc etc? No. You either apologize and move on, or move on and try not to do it again. But calling it all in jest.... excuses. Excuses are a cheap way of making your self feel better without actually owning up to the issue at hand and admitting responsibility. Excuses are weak, and so are avilos manners for other human beings.

Avilo ignores all (probably most, not all) criticism and you just tell everybody if they don't like it leave. Avilo's response made me laugh. Didn't you take the time to read what he wrote. Fact is, Avilo plays an interesting style, but there's a good number of people refraining from viewing the stream because of all the endless insulting and whining going on. I am one of those people, I only watch Avilo muted, because it really bothers me to see him being so disrespectful. Why, Avilo, why not be a nice person and have a ton more viewers and offer people a learnfull experience instead of degenerating EVERY SINGLE LOSS into "LOL PROTOSS WHAT A FAG". You mostly lose because of your own mistakes, but you are too blind (or act like it at least) to see that and take advise to heart. I'm really curious on what you think about it yourself. Walking away from your problems is not the way to g.

He just wants you to and that other guy who loves you to acknowledge your flaws and try to fix them rather than deny them, he even complemented you in his post. Just a page or two ago you both said that you never ever attack people personally, EVER, then I posted that you did it to me, then a guy posted that you did it the other day, and you continue to ignore it.

Thanks for the advice and i have stopped viewing his stream for the reasons i stated, however the toxic part of chat is in my opinion is not the haters as he has a small proportion of them compared to other streamers but the emphasis on balance whining from mods and fans as well as Avilo. I have visited the stream on many occasions and i always see the same thing, its cringe worthy and the only reason i decided to post here was the multiple instants of you and Avilo saying he does not personally attack players. I will no longer post here or visit his stream but as has been stated, you can't be as disrespectful to the community as him and not expect people to call you on it from time to time.

Watching the mech master play in legit tournaments was a great change of pace from just watching him ladder. Also khaldor is one of my fave casters so i was in sc2 heaven aside from the loss best of luck in the future! I agree. It's good to see avilo playing in "real matches". Too bad he missed the IEM qualifier and hasn't looked for an opportunity to try his hand at some of the AM Lan events there have been in the past few months. It seems like there are more and more of those popping up so hopefully we'll see him at a few. Good luck in the Ladder qualifier today Avilo. Hope you can be playing well and focused (even against Protoss) and make a nice run.
