My prayers answered! Avilo vs solo on basetradetv! GOGO avilo!
|
Well played vs JIG in game 2. That was intense.
|
|
Too bad you had to play the last game against Jig on Daedalus Point. Rifkin gave you big props casting your game though for good manners and just playing the game anyways and throughout all of game 2. Hopefully that can turn some of the hate away!
Wish you could have qualified since you had a very reasonable draw with no protosses, but it was a really good showing. Hopefully you can get even better and qualify in season 2.

At one time I had had hopes for the SC Community, because there are a lot of nice people involved, but it seems the haters always win out and that's a sad statement to make. Avilo's chat was one of the nicest, most fun places to be and viewers enjoyed it, because the mods protected viewers against BM. The haters have tried to ruin it for us and even though people keep telling me that "the more viewers, the more trolls" I don't understand why that has to be. Surely, parents have brought they're kids up better and would be mortified if they knew how extremely rude and repulsive they're kids are online. I'm hoping that this New Year will bring more compassion and caring for others - both online and off. Cheating on ladder proves nothing. Yeah it wouldn't have anything to do with his constant BM, balance whine, inability to take shit which he himself dishes out everyday, accusing well known pros of stream cheating/map hacking after every loss. This isn't anything that hasn't been mentioned before so I'll keep this short with a simple sentence: Any "hate" avilo gets he brought on himself if you honestly think its undeserved then Idk what to tell you. I find it very strange that Avilo's fanbase emphasizes being nice and discourages BM as a whole while proclaiming that Avilo himself doesn't BM -- that he's the victim. That isn't the case though. I've played Avilo on the ladder, lost, and gotten BM'ed. I didn't snipe him, didn't stream cheat, I lost the game. Usually it was a stomp in the super late game and I still get BM'ed or whined at. It's the same when I watch his stream. He can hardly go a game without making a silly claim about balance or what have you whether it's provoked or not. He brings it on himself indeed. Theres nothing strange about it, he just a hypocrite. Whats funny about it though is he'll say for example root players "bm him" and pretend to be angels everywhere else and here is doing the same exact thing, bming the fuck out of everyone and then when he gets called out he tries (keyword tries) to spin some kind of BS. Oh you must have seen the game where i played a rootseed player and they thought it was perfectly acceptable to just insta unpause the game because it's "avilo." There are some people that think it's perfectly ok to BM me just because other people in the community do it, then they do it too because it's trendy or some shiot. The difference is if I BM someone on ladder it's usually in fun and i'm just trolling...and i never personally insult them about who they are. I'll call someone bad every now and then, sure. Or gimmicky. I never insult their own person, nor would i want to. Take it as you want obviously... Just wanting to help everyone, you, your fans, the community.. But at some point, when so many people tells you the same things again and again and again about your flaws, considering what you want to achieve, you should try to improve yourself instead of just ignoring them, blaming them, or acting like it's totally undeserved When the majority of games on ladder you end up playing end up being vs Protoss every game abusing all-ins and nexus cannon...it's a bit unavoidable to discuss balance at that point. Fanclub has been updated, guys, with PROOF that Avilo is NOT the only one to say that protoss is underpowered, although he does seem to get 100% of the hate for it.
|
^ Taeja is a notorious balance whiner...
|
Plus I dont think anyone ever disagreed with the fact that you can be slow and a good protoss player, also that the race is less mechanically intensive (not that Avilo would know much about that but that's a discussion for later )

u have been railing against Blizzard's balance team for a long while now. if u have little faith in their ability to make a solid balanced game... isn't it time to .. as Lebron James stated... take your talents to... some other game?
there are lots of competitive games that you can earn a decent living playing.
why not consider switching to a different game Avilo ?

You going to qualify tonight Avilo? Good luck! Hope you've done everything you could do to prepare.

avilo i challenge u bo5 ;3 with prize for winner do you accept?
