Maybe it's better to wait a month or longer and read a few chapters all at once.

If he gets distracted they go back to normal. Now all Kenpachi has to do is freak this kid out enough with his badassery and he wins because he's gonna imagine himself getting shit on and then boom, it's happened cause he thought it. This sounds more fun: Kenpachi is imaginary and the kid's focus on Kenpachi is actually killing himself.

Hear me out: The final battle is Zaraki vs Ichigo. Not because Ichigo will somehow turn quincy, but because Zaraki, who has eliminated Unohana and received the proper training to realise his full potential, will become unstoppable. Remember that Zaraki doesn't give a damn about shinigami... to him joining the Gotei 13 was all about finding that "ultimate battle" and having that feeling where he's being truely challenged. Also, taking into account that Old Man Yama didn't want to train him because he thought he was uncontrollable and dangerous it could make sense that Zaraki final gets out of control at the end of all this and Ichigo is forced to kill him... Any thoughts? Also, I believe that, even though he doesnt want to, Ichigo will have to kill Uryuu to destroy Bach. My theory is that Bach is trying to channel his "need to keep feeding" and has assigned this power to Uryuu. This creates a permanent food source for Bach with him knowing that no one will want to kill Uryuu because Ichigo will try to stop them. I think he means for all the other Vandereich to die so all his powers can return to him and he can be strong enough to face the final battle with Ichigo. The reason he gave other quincy these powers in the first place is because his plan can't work without distracting the Shinigami and maiming Uryuu. Any thoughts? A little bit outlandish, but I thought I'd share these thoughts with you and start some productive (and maybe even unproductive) discussion.

I like the dark path you walk and i wish it would be something as clever as this, but Kubo. There's just no way it'll happen like this. Also, Zaraki has shown more character then just his desire to fight. And you're forgetting the fact Bach killed off Uryuu's mom. There's just no way Uryuu will play puppet to Bach and his plans. Him too has shown more character than this. But again; Kubo.

Kenpachi wants someone strong to fight right? Someone who can actually kill him and provide a good fight. That's what he's going to imagine, a fight to the death. In which in the end he'll imagine he wins and kill him. But he'll be so weakened he wont be able to do anything else till the end of the manga. gg solved
