Team Solid
Main Team 6 Bbyong (captain) 3 Life 3 Rogue(Savage) 7 RorO 6 Soulkey 1 Terminator 4 CJ Entus
Anti Team 3 Effort 3 Leenock 7 Super
I'm sure you have plenty on your plate, but what do you think of this? I was considering changing CJ to prime so i could swap Bbyong for herO, completing my ultimate abandonment of my morals and principles. Also slightly nervous about Super on my anti team, but I'm just not sure what to do there

Let's say CJ goes 4-3 or 5-2 and gets about 14-15 points, while Prime gets about 5. That's 9 points. Do you see herO winning >2 normal games + ace matches than BByong? If yes, then it should cover the cost.
Yeah, your anti is a little bit risky. I would say effort is an okay choice if he didn't have his best matchup (ZvZ) in the first week, so why not pick one of the 3 pointers who doesn't play at all?
Leenock can easily be traded off if he starts appearing, but that means you can't trade Super in the same week.
Super is a top 2 player in MVP so he will probably play from next week onwards. It's kind of a gamble because you are hoping that there is someone to trade for, or hoping that he screws up horribly.

Well if Bbyong plays like he did last round it isn't worth it, but I'm not so sure that will happen. I don't really like any of the other 7 pointers so i revamped my anti to be TRUE, Bunny, and KeeN. I think that's better, with only Keen playing this week (and against creator) and True and Bunny being overrated and not playing

Lets do this shit
Main Team 6 Byul 3 Reality 3 Rogue(Savage) 7 RorO 6 Soulkey 1 Terminator (captain) 4 SK Telecom T1
Anti Team 4 Bunny 5 Keen 4 Yonghwa
Would you mind looking at my team for me?
Main Team
I have three people (Byul, Soulkey, and RorO) who i feel will come out as the ace for their team, Terminator is bound to get some play time, so at one point he's a steal. Rouge did just as well as some 6 pointers like fantasy last round, so i don't understand why he's three. I'm not super sure about my Reality pick, but he looked good against zerg in Code A and i have no idea how is TvT is, so i'm hoping Samsung Khan sends him out a bunch so that he's worth 3 points.
Anti Team
I felt Bunny was super overvalued at 4 points, and he's not getting played this week so thats a good sign. I see Keen picking up a win here and there, but he was wayyy overvalued in my opinion. Younghwa had the misfortune of being 1/500 protosses on LGIM, so he's probably going to miss a lot of matches because LGIM has too many players.
Question: So i have both Byul and Soulkey on my main team, and am planning on keeping them for the long haul unless something crazy happens. but i noticed they were facing each other this week. is it ok that i guarantee a player a win, even if it means another player is guaranteed a loss?

If Reality loses his first 2 matches, his value will go so low that you can't get rid of him. However, there is a chance that he may be like Fantasy/BByong last round, and suddenly become pro. But in my opinion, it's not a safe pick.
If you have 2 players playing each other, you will get a safe outcome that will never be too wonderful or bad for you. However, it is better to have 2 low point players facing each other than 2 high point players facing each other, because high point players are expected to win, and you might be satisfied with a 50% winrate for low point players. It's okay to pick both Byul and Soulkey if you expect them to be locks from week 2 onwards.

So who would you suggest changing Reality to that would be a safer pick? or what would you just do in general to help my team? I'm kinda desperate, as i keep losing to my brother and really want to beat him this time.

Reality is not necessarily bad, it's just that he can do really well or really crappily. Hold on to him if you believe in him.

Of the CJ players, Bunny is very overpriced and Sora somewhat, given that they won't play much. If I were you, I would swap those 2 out for better ones, since 4 CJ players and CJ as the team is good enough for a thematic team.
|
Thanks for the guide! I guess that we'll now see a proliferation of teams with Roro, Rogue, Soulkey and MKP; and Bunny, True and Keen on the anti.
To win the season it would probably be a good idea to go against your predictions .

Awesome Guide thx alot made some adjustments
|
good analysis and pretty similar to my team, looks like alot of people will have similar teams this round after reading this guide .
|
>roro is a good pick >picked roro on previous anti team
it's like you don't even know the first rule of FPL

Thanks for the guide! I made some changes and I am way more sure about my team now

no roro i win
Main Team 6 Bbyong (captain) 3 Life 6 Parting 3 Rogue(Savage) 6 Soulkey 2 TAiLS 4 SK Telecom T1
Anti Team 4 Bunny 6 Cure(Speed) 3 Sniper
I originally had herO as captain and reality as my terran so i could submit the team. but after reading your article i switched out herO, moved up reality -> bbyong, and added soulkey. Good move or bad? Also i dont think should have bbyong as my captain, but I dont know who is a good captain.
I appreciate all the help.

But for captain, you would want a player who is a constant lock throughout the season, and can perform decently well. Assuming that last round is a good indicator, BByong and Rogue are the least likely to get rotated out of the lineup. But I would rather make Rogue the captain, because he is so undervalued at 3 points that even if his value rises to 4 or 5, I wouldn't trade him away. BByong on the other hand, might rise in value from 6 to 7, and you can get a good trade.
Shine, Solar, Sora and Yonghwa don't have full playing time in the first week. Might I suggest you start off with players who actually play, and trade for these guys later?
