Woohoo region lock! Like everything else Blizzard does, when Blizzard sets out to do something, they make it work... like the Warhound! I'm really looking forward to watching more Koreans face off in Europe at the WCS America Finals. That will really support the scene here in North America. Don't forget how the event is cast by a Brit and a Dutchman, with the interviews being done by another Brit, just for some #FREEDOM American overload. I can feel the grass roots in the States sprouting as we speak. So murican and patriotic! Brings a BBQ flavoured tear to my eye

I tuned in at an awkward time to see Avilo win an hour-long mech vs swarm host game, and I experienced the sheer terror of wondering if he might actually get into challenger league. Fortunately, he ran into a skilled non-zerg player after that match. Crisis averted.

Not Koreans fault if American players suck, and not Europeans fault if American organizers suck as well

bummed that CatZ is not on this list

Didn't Ryung make the 4th Wildcard qualifier?

He did. Sadly, it was the 4th spot in a tournament that only qualified 3 people to Challenger.

Nony? Haven't seen you in a while. Welcome back and gratz!

I didn't' follow this at all. What happened to huk?

HuK made it to the Ro16 of the Premiere League last season, so he's automatically back in Premiere League this season.
The bottom 16 of Premiere League last season, shown in the OP, are in Challenger this season.

It's funny - the only challenger league qualifier match I saw was CatZ vs Nony and Catz just barely won with his proxy hatch antics. So based on that absolutely insufficient information I was also expecting to see CatZ there instead of Nony.
That being said I'm super super stoked to see Nony back on the list. My understanding is that he just came back to serious competitive play and so if this is Nony without much practice I can't wait to see him back in good form!

This is how nony has always been, in BW he was insanely good when he was in practice and motivated to practice. He went through streaks of being meh then suddenly being motivated and practicing. He knows how to practice efficiently better than a lot of pros. I remember back when he won TSL3 from wildcard he played against idra who was the absolute best foreigner at the time and took a convincing win off of him with only a week of practice. That was the point where I was hooked as a fan lol

Wow, Nony.

Pigbaby always played the most entertaining games in GSL. Hopefully he can stomp some noobs and win this as the competition doesn't look that hard

Eh Avilo got handled pretty easily when he played Revival in the first day of qualifiers, his opponent in the match you referred to just really didn't know how to play against the composition. It's really more a skill than a race balance thing, I think.

No surprise if the American viewers are the most ungrateful either then?
