I guess I missed him leaving MVP while I was in the woods. News to me! I hope he gets a good team.

Choya explained some of it online at one point. None of the old roster wanted to stay. He offered all of them the same salary as the current team.

They have built up that brand name + still same management + still same Dota team. But yes I agree with you, definitely doesn't feal like the MVP sc2 team I know. DRG, Keen, Finale, TAiLs and Sniper are the ones that comes to mind for me when I think of MVP. But roster changes happen. Same with Prime without MarineKing/Maru. Startale without Squirtle/Parting/Bomber. But we all get used to it after a while. This change will take some time to get used to though..

Do other teams make news article posts just to announce their official submitted PL roster? Why only MVP/Choya? Looks like free advertisement for their team maybe (1) because their roster includes players who aren't part of the team and (2)because their team is radically different from before?

In my opinion they will need really solid coaching (to help with picking builds), and maybe to recruit some amateur players that can bring some sort of surprise.

This is really weird, I guess it must be a really low salary and all these ex-IM guys are just happy to get anything at all. Really sad and strange to see what's happening to the ex ESF teams. I hope they can pull it together this time.
