It's been awhile since the first Seatstory cup, but an event that successful could only go without a sequel for so long. Taketv announced today that they will be host 32 players from October 16-19. The event will start at 2pm CET each day and local viewers are invited to Limericks pub -- just below Take's apartment -- to watch the matches.

Nice, I love the first seatstory cup. 20k prize pool aint too shabby, too. Looks like they aren't going to have sc2 at the event?

I know taketv has to have someone on the spotlight representing them but p4wny's casting man..i don't know, his voice just makes everthing he says sound stupid :/

They're probably separating the branding for their HS events and their SC2 events. Naruto did just announce the new TakeTV "Against the Odds" tournament, and Homestory Cup is going to continue for a long, long time. I think Seatstory Cup is gonna be a Hearthstone-specific tournament brand.

32 invites or will there be qualifiers ?

exciting! HSC always the best in sc2.
I assume more EU personalities over NA because of travel costs

Only 4 seeds and 28 people from qualis?
|
Sweet! I just hope it's not 36 invites though...

I'm guessing they would at least invite Strife back. I'd also love to see Artosis compete in this (he came 4th last time) but i doubt he will with 32 places at least a quarter will be qualifiers, but my guess is more between 16 and 24

Information regarding qualifiers from the TakeTV news:
"You want to be part of the action? Eight Slots are still up for grabs and will be given out through a qualifier. There will be two qualifiers on 24.09 and 01.10, which will be played in a eight rounds, bo1 swiss format. The top eight secure themselves a slot in a 16 player bracket. Eight invited players will fight against the eight players who made it through the qualifier to determine the four players who will take on their journey towards Krefeld. The winners of each qualifier even get their travel paid."
That could have been written a bit less confusing. It took me a while to figure it out but I think I got it now:
24 people will be invited directly to the offline part.
The other 8 spots are available through two "semi-open" qualifiers.
In each qualifier 8 people from an open tournament will play against 8 invites for 4 spots at the offline event.
So some people are invited directly to the offline part, some are seeded into the top 16 bracket stage of a qualifier and everyone else can also play in the qualifiers but has to go through a swiss stage first. Not sure why it has to be so complicated but I guess we should be happy that it is possible to qualify at all.
So at the final event there will be anywhere from 24 to 32 players who have been invited in some way (either directly or to the final qualifier stage) and anywhere from 0 to 8 people who came from an open qualifier.

Nice! The TakeTV events are always awesome but damn, there are sooooo many tournaments before Blizzcon it's crazy.

Previous 6 homestory cups were all 32 players-tourneys. The apartment is large.

I think it is roughly about 220 square metres. So a lot of space.

Invite Zetalot please :D
Loved the first seatstory cup, was really my first Hearthstone tourney that I watched and really got me into the game. Looking forward to this one!

Looks like a lot more players are already known now: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/hearthstone/SeatStory_Cup/2
Does anyone know who Pini and Cabrix are? I have never heard of those before but they were invited. Same for Mirrari but he is from a known team at least.
Also very interesting to see Socke there. He is a known SC2 player but I didn't know that he started playing Hearthstone as well now.
And nice to see Artosis also giving it a try as a player again.
