<second edit> Nevermind, I just watched that insane video below cyro posted. It might just be muscle memory. I guess I should get used to shell on?

I've already noticed I feel and do way better in osu! with the small shell on my g9x than with no shell. I'm not sure how so many people use no shell. It would be faster for splitting units, but with age of kings there's no need for super fast splits like in sc2. Try to catch up to me in 6-9 months.. if you're a good enough study, it should be doable :D + Show Spoiler + ^1:45 to end :D ^whole song, but it gets faster at 1:20 I'm not using a mouse atm as my main device.. But i could have done those things with one, and there are far better players than me with mouse

Military micro is more like bw. Slower units and lower dps. You have any advice for trying to find the optimal mouse settings? I'm thinking shell on with g9x and practicing osu! while gradually increasing dpi?

Alternatively, buy a Wacom CTL-480 and become true overlord of the peasants :D I play stuff like this to train my hand and lower arm to be fast, i like doing things like this when some people say that they "can't be done" and they're complaining that their 5x higher sensitivity is too slow for it. Open your mind and learn speed, instead of trying to learn the necessary accuracy after using way too much DPI :D + Show Spoiler +

I'll keep playing like this to get speed up. I've tried my mico, but I'm just the most accurate with the g9x with small shell by at least 10% in osu. It's funny because I've barely used it so it's not because I'm used to it, either. It feels similar to the cm spawn without that bulge on the right side of the mouse. I just started installed a couple of song packs. This game is great.

I guess i would go for accuracy, you really dont need any reflexes apart from patrol commanding a unit in the general direction of the enemy asap. Cyro where is this accuracy graph from from last page, are there more like that?

Cyro where is this accuracy graph from from last page, are there more like that? I'm not entirely sure how it's measured, but tl;dr everything decent is pretty close to 1:1 with maybe 1-2% variance, aside from a few problem sensors (9500, 9800) which are as much as ~5-8%

If you do that a few times you get that nice graph.

It's far better to micro small groups of units than to patrol. Viper is one of the best players with archer micro and he has +1 range and +1 attack here, but you can see from 11:50 to 13:30 how much damage he does with better micro. He gets far enough ahead where it was enough to win the game if all else is equal.

+ Show Spoiler + Maybe its different now, but when i played there wasnt toooo much micro, and i was pretty good at the game and played with people the The_Sheriff, arch vile with his funny strategies that cracked me up every time, pG_Fire the 13 year old prodigy or Juzam_Aoegod with his 13 minutes castle strategies, fast_doc an old german player who could beat any of the pros on any map with gamepseed slow.....and many more personalities. /namedrop off sorry :D

High is for when you're snapping across screen every half second and dont care about selecting small targets

Back when sheriff played I think it was like the equivalent of vanilla starcraft 1. I haven't heard of the other players. AOC was broken before userpatch 1.4 came out, which was kind of like the patch that came out for bw that nerfed zerg rush. I found out about voobly and competitive aoc play in may, and I was shocked how far the game has come since I quit playing on zone maybe ten years ago now.

Viper in that video is extremely helpful. He's even given out his hotkey file before. He uses a deathadder with 2k dpi and 6/11 sensitivity in windows. I've started using my mico with 800 dpi after practicing more with osu!. My scores were higher right away when I started using it, and I've used 800 dpi with my g9x. I think the fatter grip helps me keep my hand and wrist steadier.
