If they miss the playoffs coupled with how cheap the franchise has been about spending to build a contender I would predict that both KD and Westbrook are gone once their contracts are up

Disappointed in the Clippers game, but I'm hoping it's just first game jitters and also having to face the team that eliminated them this past season. CP3 had to be having flashbacks.

If he can actually pull off an interesting system I'd be impressed, but people were already laughing at how pitiful their roster is/was. I don't think any coach could build an offense around what they currently have. It's not just Westbrook and Durant missing, but Lamb, Morrow, Jackson, McGary. Watching Telfair try to do anything is just painful...

I don't even want the system to win games, I just want to see if Scott Brooks is actually a capable coach that can draw up plays

But yeah, you'd have to think they won't win many games through November/December without WB and KD. I took a look at their schedule through those two months and generously gave them seven wins (assuming KD and WB out both months). That'd be a 7-26 start. When you think Phx missed the Playoffs last year with 48 wins, they'd have to go something like 42-7 to make it. Can't see it happening. But maybe I'm being harsh. When does Reggie get back? With him and Lamb they might be able to limp through at .400 or so?

He's taking 2 3pters per game, which might be too high but still isn't horrible. His midrange shot is actually doing decent, and he's playing a LOT more in the paint. Granted, he's missing most of his shots in the paint (3-9 last night ) but I'm fine with him missing those, especially since Greg Monroe has been out.

Watched both Pistons games due to fantasy and thought he was terrible. Took a couple of long contested two's and his usual brick 3's. Including jumpers in the paint near the ft line and threes he's shot 7/23 over the first two games. SVG needs to slap some sense into him.

Goddayum I love this franchise. Looking forward to the Cavs-bulls game tonight. Playing on the road against a worthy opponent could make the cavs bring their A-game or at least look a bit more decontracted. Just a pithy they're playing under the pressure of back to back losses though. NB: Ok part of me enjoyed watching the cavs lose.

OKCs cheapskate owners with their bullshit. Sad WB got hurt but I hope him and KD leave. That ownership group is terrible. ETA: hahahahahaha

OKC is def fucked, like others have said. They are going to get exceptionally behind in the standings and when everyone is back they will likely be fighting for a 6ish seed, forcing a very hard rd1 mu. I have ZERO confidence in Scotts ability to coach an effective offense in general, let alone without their best weapons.

SVG needs to slap some sense into him. He's taken bad shots but the number of bad shots isn't that out of line with a normal upper-tier (like >70% percentile) player. The worst misses are the good shots he's taking, which so far has been > 50% of them. People are knocking him for not shooting well, which he deserves, but his shot selection through the first 2 games is the best it's been since 2011. He's making progress to where he should be.
