Hello, I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread so the community can post suggestions that they feel can, or would improve the overall navigation, use, function and the 'fun' factor of TL.net. Try to stay on the relevant topic, to help with that i'm going to set up a simple and easy to use template that i would strongly recommend everyone to use to make it easier to navigate through the ideas.
Polls can also be used but not in excess, having 90 polls open in one thread is excessive, try to kind the polling to a minimum.
Template: Idea: How would it improve TL: Where do you think it would improve TL('Fun' factor, navigation, easier to find something etc.):
I'll make the first suggestion!
Idea: 'like' / 'dislike' button
How would it improve TL: If this idea was inundated into TL, I think it should be put in somewhat to this affect - If you have a certain percentage of 'likes' in the said thread your background color should be displayed in yellow, that way it's eye catching, and other users will know that comment brings some kind of legitimate argument to the topic, or that the comment is very helpful if you're looking at strategies etc. The top 3 comments should be displayed at the front of the page, just like Mod Edits are(those white boxes you guys can put in). The dislike feature should work somewhat in the same way, if you have a certain percentage of 'dislike' your comment should be contained to a "show spoiler", so that way if someone wants to read it, they still can, but aren't force to read stupid trivial B/S.
Where do you think it would improve TL: I think the overall fun factor would increase hunting down comments, I think you should have to be a certain TL level to 'like' / 'dislike' comments etc. so that it's not abused. It can also help with navigation as well.

I can't believe you're trying to make that a thing.

I like the idea just because so many threads have lurkers skulking around reading various threads but not contributing. So we end up with thread with like 3-5 people consistently posting but dozens or more following the conversation.
I'd just like to know what the observers think of various comments. I think it would go a long way in giving feedback as to what people actually think of various posts. Perhaps people who's arguments are universally rejected will spend less time going on and those who's are embraced will get more attention.
Pretty sure this idea was shot down last time it came up though.

Idea: A Team Liquid API
How would it improve TL: I would love to have the possibility to acces the TL-event list via REST or something equivalent. The main purpose of it would be to create an automatic reminder of an event by mail or Whatsapp.
Where do you to you think it would improve TL: By creating an API it would give developers the tools to build amazing applications. It would open the floodgates for app-developers or script-kiddies to use their creativity on TL.net. The benefits for TL would be more traffic and visitors to their website. The drawback would be the loss of income from advertisements because no direct traffic to the website. I think that the extra traffic would out-wage the income loss.
What do you think of this idea?

Hi have a very small suggestion would really like, i am a team liquid veteran i don't post a lot almost 1000 post but most are just talking to buddies but that's besides the point (sorry i'm kind of high right now), But i have been a part of the stacraft community since starcraft original ladder on bnet and broodwar i'm 31 years old.
Suggestion Subcategories for streaming starcraft 2, i would like to know who is streaming HOTS and who is streaming LOTV, although its not too hard to click and kind of figure out what is hots and what is lotv, i would imagine it would not be too hard for the streamer to choose that he is streaming LOTV games over HOTS games either.
Basically SC2 was never as good as bw but i followed it because its where the pros and competition went and i wanted to follow my dream, and i would like to just look at the sc2 streams list and have 2 sub catagories, hots streams and lotv beta streamers. I think LOTV has potential to improve, this game because hots killed it for me, WOL was do able but as a zerg playing hots was sooo boring HOTS zerg was soo boring to play for me and i'm not a race changer so all i ask that streamers have to specify if they are streaming hots or LOTV. I Believe if LOTV is done right it will raise Starcraft status as a game, its never gunna beat LOL or CS GO but it has the potential to be put back in the top 5 games long term if they make the right changes. but anyways i barely played sc2 since int beinging of hots so much so i can barely tell the difference between the 2 and if there were sub categories it would help because i think a lot are getting excited about LOTV if its done right.
any way i tried to proff read this but i i'm fucked up and having trouble finishing so i think i should stop talking and if you guys could do this for a starcraft fan who has litterally been playing since the game came out 1998, there were some breaks in between. but i'm trying to make my third come back to prep for lotv and hope that it is a more successful esport then it is not thats all i ask, not the best, but better then it is.
Thanks much love your boy hooktits of tits gaming.
