Get over yourselves. So when something stupid and bad happens to other people, you see it as a good thing because bad things happen to you and we should be even? That's really nice and friendly way of approaching things indeed! They have made up this absurd "global" format out of the blue. It's definitely not better for the players (because it adds pointless travel) and now we see that it's not better for the viewers, because we Europeans get screwed from watching our favourite players, because it's apparently too much of a burden to play it on a fucking weekend during the day so that people on both sides of the pool are awake. So I am absolutely lost, for whom is this better? Why make a change that is worse for EVERYONE? It doesn't make any fucking sense. It's almost like Blizz/ESL are fed up with running the thing and they wish for it to finally die so that they don't have to bother anymore. I am willing to skip work for GSL/NSSL - I am a lazy useless bum and I get away with that because nobody really cares if I come to work or not. I understand that it is necessary because it's on the completely oposite side of the world and mainly catered to local audience, with a significant live attendance on top of that. But I am not willing to turn my sleep schedule upside down because some idiot in ESL America decided that the major part of viewers is not important to him.

You are willing to drop work cus of SC2 games, but you are not willing to tweak your sleep schedule for a few days? Kind of funny....

The complaining is amusing as someone who regularly has to alter my sleeping schedule to watch Starcraft though.

Well, that was mean, but honestly, I am really curious about the numbers this will pull. Most of the potential WCS viewers are in Europe, I am afraid. Also, our Chinese friends could have had exactly that if they went for the original idea of "US/SEA etc... players in US, EU players in EU" at least for Ro32. But they for some reason couldn't ... You can watch the half that is catered to the European viewers. Can't really say there is anything unfair about a 50/50 split between NA and EU primetime. That's about as "fair" as it gets. The complaining is amusing as someone who regularly has to alter my sleeping schedule to watch Starcraft though. I'd say a 100/100 or 90/90 "split" is better than a 50/50 split, AM and EU viewership is not mutually exclusive

You said you were a bum, and that ppl at work didnt care if u showed or not, now you're saying its cus of your health... EDIT: and frankly, that's between you and ur employer

It would have been pretty awesome. Lots of really good europeans. WCS AM however I'm not sure of

You said you were a bum, and that ppl at work didnt care if u showed or not, now you're saying its cus of your health... No, by my health I mean to go to sleep. I try to avoid staying awake after midnight like a plague, it messes me up completely, puts me through a lot of stress and in general interefers with my well-being a lot. So I value that more than regular presence at work, ergo I watch GSL but not WCS-for-US-viewers and I questioned your idea that this is somehow funny. Whatever, I am off to bed, enjoy the games, make sure I wake up to Snute qualifying! edit: On February 15 2015 07:53 KingofdaHipHop wrote: i'm sorry but this commmunity is fucking hilarious. the majority asks for region locking so that's what we get and we get a unified wcs (because if they didn't combine it they would suck let's be real) and now they complain about the global aspect of the world championship series. i truly love the internet Well it so happens that "the community" is made up from different people with different opinions. I have been opposing region locking since the first time some genius came up with this idea (I had a signature on this topic for years, but honestly, nobody cares about me, so whatever).
