I'm more astonished by game 5, tbh. He should have known the spines could reach them bunkers. That was not great.
How should he have known? That's a map-specific all-in he probably never encountered before.
Considering Byul used the exact same build to beat Marineking in PL in a highly publicized match..............
Yeah because the way MarineKing dealt with it was a clinic on how to react to it [:
You see this cheesy unique build and the Inno/SKT then say to themselves, "You know what, Fuck it. Marineking didn't show us how to beat it, may as well give up. Just improv if it happens Inno."
"But I thought you guys had thebest prep."
"Man were good, but we're not Marineking good, if he can't beat it no one can. Can't even be bothered to find a solution."
Dream would have prepped the shit out of a response.

Well the spine's range is the same on any map, so he should have been able to tell where he has to bunker so the spines can't anally poke his SCVs.
Also what was up with that putting that tank on his ramp? <.<
You think a progamer, kinda known for kinda choking, who is facing an unexpected all-in he never trained for, analyzes that well and that calmly? He wanted to prevent the spines from taking the rocks down, ByuL had prepared for that with sick spine placement, end of the story. Also what's up with anally poking someone d:
1) If this was unexpected and never trained for, he did a shit job preparing, ByuL even used this build in the SSL qualifiers against Flash. He seems to really like it.
2) Choking is pretty much what happened, yes. Lost 4 SCVs building bunkers that never finish, got the first tank surrounded, got baited into a full ling surround... yep, choked. He could have won even after ByuL got through the rocks, he was in a decent position at times. But he choked.

Stop spreading lies, we all know Has' games were better.
He could prepare for the cheese, but how could he know ByuL's spine placement, which in turn dictates his own bunker placement? FlaSh's game wasn't broadcasted, and MK's game is not very useful to study considering the complete lack of defense by MK.

He started the bunkers as he was scouting the proxy, he had time to correct.
Also, don't change topics, Has' games were better than this and you know it.

Cause of the rock placement. Basically there is a maximum closeness to where the spines are put. The most important thing when holding off a rush like this is to hold the ramp with a bunker in such a place where spines on the low ground cant hit you on the high ground. Considering you can only place the spines so far forward, Inno/SKT could have found a solution, especially given how much time they had.

Nah but that's not what I mean. What I mean is that MK's game didn't really show us ByuL's build. What did they know? That ByuL liked to proxy a hatch behind the rocks, build 3 spines, and enter in the main with speedlings, spines and a Queen. But they had no information at all about what ByuL intends to do once tanks are out, about his precise spine placement, etc
e : yeah what you say makes sense. Still, i dunno if with ProLeague + the fact that this is a Bo5 that's not even guaranteed to reach Expedition Lost, they spent that much time on it.
ByuL is one of those guys I thought should never have existed, then turned out to exist after all despite all my wishes, and THEN proved worthy of existing in the brutal world of top Korean Starcraft... Fine, you're pretty good, ByuL. There.

He channeled his inner Bomber! No seriously, watch Bomber vs Shine in Code A if you get the chance. Bomber goes... super light on the mines. That is to say he mostly didn't build them.
As for the turrets, I reckon he forgot them or wanted to save money? In each game there was always at least one base of his that didn't have a single turret for way too long. :S

Bomber has done that for a long time. That style is only really effective if you do it within the widow that zerg does not have a robust economy. Trying to do it in a macro style requires so much mechanically out of the Terran

Well, he must've had some idea behind it. At least I hope he did. But yes, it didn't work too well. He might have qualified if he used mines on Vaani tho <.<
Parting beating MacSed was expected, but I'm very surprised about the other two results. Both Innovation and sOs have looked sharper than their opponents in Proleague lately. Guess you can't base all predictions on that.
