What you have here is a really big 2p map. I wanted to make a large map where big macro games are more likely, but at the same time not just put 3-4 bases behind one choke like a few macro maps have done because aggressive games are great too. Also I wanted to do it without it being a 4p, because at this point I honestly don't think 4p maps are very good for the game (+ Show Spoiler +). Really, when you think about it there are incredibly few large 2p maps; they are almost always 4p.

Key things for me were making every part of the map matter (at least as much as a really big map can), and encouraging you to be outside of your base active on the map. There are some unusual concaves that I think help with this and help counter the fact that it is a huge map with a decent rush distance.

Non-cross spawns can be interesting but are usually imbalanced, and the RNG of scouting your opponent first or not has always been a shitty thing and not good for competition
