http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-04-22/dortmund-said-to-be-insured-for-champions-league-revenue-losses The insurance was surely expensive, but it looks like a smart move now.

Ilkay Gundogan close to Manchester United move Manchester United are close to agreeing a £21.5m deal to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to Sky sources. Source Biggest steal of the century! Crazy cheap for a quality midfielder imo.

That's a joke, right? € Let me elaborate: The way it is now it's a good deal for both, him being a steal implies that it's a bad deal for Dortmund. He has only 1 year left on his contract and 30 million € puts him in Kroos territory without being as good as Kroos. He isn't as good as he was '12-'13. Of course he has the potential to reach the level again, but "steal of the century" exaggerates the deal for United a fair amount :p

30m € would be amazing for Dortmund. Gündogan had a tough start in Dortmund, played one great season and then got injured. He's not nearly back to his full potential right now and has only 1 year of contract left. Should he stay injury free he might go to Real/Barca for 60m in 2 years but right now 30m would be about double the amount I would've expected.

Surely the € isn't that weak that £21million = €30mill? 30 Million is the sum circulating in German media, I have no idea how much that is in pounds. Our different interpretation of the deal's value might also just come from the fact that Germans aren't used to high transfer fees, even for Bayern 30 million is quite a bit, there are only 3 players they paid 30 million or more for (Neuer with all success-related boni according to latest rumours, Martinez who was overpriced due to his buy-out clause and Götze. Reports over the fee they paid for Gomez differ, might also be 30 million)

For United it's good deal, 20m isn't too much for them so if he turns out to be a flop it's whatever, but if he regains his form it's very good cheap player.

Bremen was dead last on the 16th match day and they have 4 points less with 1 game less played. They have much harder opponents in their last games tho. I would find that highly amusing because Schalke.

Hazard isn't like other footballers he has a levelled head, at 24 he is already married and basically a family man. He doesn't do anything apart from go home to his family and there 2 children. Many times he has been told he could "do more" in terms of be more ruthless or "care more" in terms of his attitude because he is so laid back. Pretty sure being settled in Chelsea, winning things is more than enough for him as he has said that was his reason to not go to PSG.
