The new UBW was pretty good. Even added in some details only LN readers would know like + Show Spoiler +Saber's Sheath inside Shirou .
I know I show my anti-shirou bias here but Damn + Show Spoiler + Archer just kill the little pissant. You could have killed him like 20 times during the fight but nooo you wanted to try to also break his spirit, underestimating the fact that teenagers are stubborn illogical twats.

I mean even without knowing about it, it should still make some sense to people that only watched the anime since: + Show Spoiler +Up until know it's been a mystery what link shirou had that allowed him to summon saber and why he healed so many wounds so fast earlier on, this was just the explanation for those things.

Yep but you still appreciate it more knowing it from the Fate route. At least they explained it, at first they only showed it and I feared they would leave it at that but its good that Archer explained it.

+ Show Spoiler +Simply killing Shirou wouldn't be good enough. He wants to make Shirou admit that he was wrong, thus validating Archer's hatred of his current situation. His hatred of Shirou stems from the fact that his ideals will lead Archer to where he is now; ideals he now realizes are hypocritical.
However, if Shirou learns of this and still decides to choose the same path, what does that say about Archer? Does Archer really hate his ideals because they're are hypocritical, or has he simply become jaded after becoming a cog in the system and used as a tool?

Yes I know what was going on, doesn't change the fact that I would have been happy if+ Show Spoiler + Archer curbstomped Shirou into mulch nor the fact that I heavily disagree with Shirou's conclusions after this fight.

Won't find many other anime with all-star casts like that. Or production budgets.

It certainly added the flavour, whole vibe thing is awesome.

In the VNs she clearly has a body and is with everyone in the end. At least we got to see the aftermath of Angelic Howl after Amane left. If you actually read the novel, you wouldn't be so confused.

Its going to be another 6 months to a year before the sequels are translated. :\

The episode in general was fine. Zapp's belly weirded me out...of all things, lol Also finished up the first season of Mushishi. This was excellent. So many interesting stories. I guess my favourites are the following: + Show Spoiler +- The moving swamp (ep5) - the mountain god (ep11) - The false spring (ep15) - Communication system (ep17) - The artist whose paintings contained Mushi (ep18) - The one where the girl wandered in between both worlds because she grabbed the Mushi-tentacle hanging down from the sky (ep19) - The Mushi that returned people to their embryo stadium (ep22) I can see why people are giving it a 10/10 but I just can't do it. While I think everything was put together perfectly (art, sound, music, story-telling) I still feel like the show lost a lot of its potential when it decided to be formularic and only explored on different mushi and almost completly ignored their origin. It was also strangely nice to have a show that you could just watch whenever you need to take a deep dive into something enjoyable and then put it away. I'm definitely going to watch everything Mushishi related in the future, but slowly like I did it with s1. I would argue that the purpose of Mushishi isn't to explore the nature of mushi though. They are simply a vehicle through which we can look at humanity in various situations. How people coexist with mushi (or fail to) is a common theme in many of the episodes. Exploring the origin of mushi would be analogous to explaining why fables have supernatural elements, in my opinion - it's an interesting backstory to consider, but ultimately it serves no purpose with regards to furthering the work.
I know and I agree. That's why I said I can see why people are giving it a 10/10. It's just that for me personally it adds a lot of enjoyment if the lore gets explored in more in-depth. I just love research and getting to the core. And I think Mushishi had the perfect opportunity to capitalise on in this regard. That's all.

This week was pretty good :
UBW : Interesting ideal confrontation. Felt slow at times though. Nice to see some Saber-Shirou reveal.
Sidonia : Ok episode. The action felt boring lately. Some funny comedy-relief moments.
Arslan : Farangries, best woman!
Owari no Seraph : Interesting episode! The Noble felt so OP. Again, toying with the MCs...

blame next week in Sidonia
the only sidonia i'll ever watch

owari no seraph getting a little better, wish it had more budget for action scenes

The song at the end of this week's UBW was legit. As far as I'm concerned, they're doing the best part of the route very well.
Arslan was good too. I'm tempted to dive into the manga but I'll wait just like with Nanatsu.

Arslan is finally getting cooler!

ahhh the glorious return of #1 in Grisaia
