Just so happens that I've accidentally released it on Starcraft's birthday! I didn't even know.
Oh cool, you made that vid :D
So what has changed with ultras+lings to make it lose the fight by a lot now? Is that LOTV stats?

The older Ultralisk had a whopping 800 hp so that might be the main difference. I don't remember the Ultralisk ever feeling overpowered, but maybe it was too beefy back then. Fun fact: it also probably had the building 'headbutt' at that time.
Is it HOTS or LOTV stats? In LOTV i think it has more armor (but that shouldn't matter if lings do minimum damage anyway?) but zerglings also attack much faster with adrenal glands

It is HotS. I didn't realize that the Ultralisk carapace upgrade got buffed in LotV and forgot about the extra 20% attack speed that Zerglings can get now : ( I assume the Zerglings' attack speed buff would be stronger than the Ultralisk's armor buff in this case.
This is why I love SC2, for all the emotions it can make me feel, for those endless nights spent watching people give the best of their hands and minds. This is gaming at its best, fun, demanding, genuine, competitive, social.
It's hard to say how much this game and the community surrounding it matters to me, and how much I hope LotV is great and interesting so that I can enjoy those incredible moments for at least ten more years.
My family, maths and SC2 are probably the three things that matters to me the most and that my life revolves around. It's pretty amazing a video game can make a 30ish years old math teacher with 0 experience of gaming this passionate. I know I owe SC2 a lot of amazing moments of my life in the past 4 years.
Yes. This game is life. This game is what I breathe (though, don't play because of computer restrictions, watch a helluva lot of it). StarCraft is everything.
