Nice find! Although you stretched it out a bit when said can use to find any buildings It gets complicated to find buildings when you can't narrow down their possible locations, but still it's very useful in finding spawn locations and, to a lesser extent, expansions at least. Which is still very bad, so it's very good find!

Of course you won't find a proxy Stargate with this, but you have the theoretical potential to do so. Nice vid by the way. The bug itself kind of similar to how units will choose their pathing knowing about buildings which you have never seen. For example, a scouting Probe that cannot enter a fully walled-off Terran main, will go to the point closest to the target location, which is often not at the ramp, even without seeing the wall. This is a smaller bug which cannot really be exploited that much but it also gives you information you otherwise could not have.

edit: This also means that it's easy to figure out how the lucky proxydudes did it. Rallyscout or mh.

No matter if it'S OC/CC, Rax, Factory, Depot etc.

If you set a CC/Nexus rally point to where the enemies CC/Nexus/Hatch might be, the workers will rally out differently if there's a building where the rally point is. This will let you know where the enemies spawn location is.
