Perhaps we will have some semblance of sanity now. Also Facebook sucks don't bother. FB only sucks if you follow boring people and no pages. Try following some interesting stuff that expands your knowledge, you'll start liking it (e.g. science pages or 500px or national geographic or whatever your interest is). And there's a cool feature that protects you from having garbage in your feed (only recently discovered it lol), you can add those that you want to see less from in a group called "acquaintaces", which recognizes that you have people in your life that you must add to friends to not hurt their feelings, but if their posts are horribly boring just add them in this group and you wont see them. Perhaps we will have some semblance of sanity now. Also Facebook sucks don't bother. facebook owns if you have friends and relatives all over the world It sure does. After 4.5 years in the Army I have soldier friends with whom I could party-hearty then crash on their couch in 8 different states, with my main crew of civilian friends dispersed widely (2+ hour drives within the state) among several of those. I keep in touch with them on Facebook regularly, and it's also how our get-togethers (which are basically mini-reunions) wind up forming. After graduating from college, I plan on teaching English in Japan for a year while devoting lots of time to realizing Soto Zen and learning more about the world, while making even more friends in even more places. I want to experience all the interesting people who interpret and interact with this world in their own way, and keep in touch them after the fact; Facebook is great for that. However, yes, if your friends all live within 45 minutes of you and you only see them once a month while using Facebook for the other 30 days, it's time to re-evaluate your time managment. There's no substitute for spending time with your friends in person. Planning for, and putting in, the hours spent with them is the best way to say "I like the impact you make on my life, so be around me more, please." With Sasha being such a globetrotter, I'm surprised she didn't get a Facebook page sooner!

Planning for, and putting in, the hours spent with them is the best way to say "I like the impact you make on my life, so be around me more, please." Wow, 4.5 years in the army; respect! That probably explains why you have the most mature posts that ive read around here. Zen is super interesting, I learned more about it back in highschool, had a dojo in my hometown. But I found the meditation pactice as much easier said than done (i mean the zazen, not sure if youll do the same thing for the Soto Zen) With Sasha being such a globetrotter, I'm surprised she didn't get a Facebook page sooner! I always thought she already had a personal FB (apart from the FB fanpage) but was set to not being searchable and only for friends. Turns out she didnt.

PS: Doesn't it seem like the going-mainstream of the LGBT movement coincided with SC2's release back in August 2010? Does anyone else want to contribute anything? (hold out for the bongos):
