Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you cant really use the disruptors on the zealots in battle since they have a high potential of blowing up your own units as well, and you can split your immo/archon vs the disruptors. This comp basically rips through stalkers so you only need to worry about the disruptors. nice thanks for the help! this might be something worth trying out. never thought about how dangerous it is trying to disruptor shoot an opposing line of zealots, especially with charge. im going to try and construct a build off this idea

Cost - same Build time - faster in LotV Speed - faster in LotV Range - same Life - same DPS - more in LotV with level 0 upgrade (same as HotS with level 3 upgrade) Is it that Disruptors are just much better? Didn't get a chance to play a lot of games with them so I'm probably underestimating them.

Make sure to adjust for the changes in game clocks between HOTS and LOTV.

Gotta remember 1 hots second is not the same as a real second. As for PvT, I think that if you are going against bio, you should get a mix of disruptor collosus. The disruptor stops them from going hail mary on your collosus.

If I try other strategies and I won, it's because zerg played really bad and not because i played well. I tried chargelot/immo/archon strategy, but i got killed before I can pop up enough units or i just got stomped by sick lukers ultras camping with mutas killing my eco. There is no way to damage zerg in early phases: adepts got killed by 20 lings, oracles are denied by spores, proxy warpins doens't exists anymore. The more you invest in harass tools, like phoenixs, the more you are behind. If zergs is not good, then u damage him with first adepts, then with phoenix, then you win. But if he good and defends good from ealy harass, you are just dead. We need some good guide here guys!

It's very well written and specific, supplied with a bunch of replays, great job by Probe. edit: So much for my reading comprehension =) Still you should give it another go, it seems to be adjusted to deal with the lair-based shit you mentioned.

Everything is the same except for the damage. I have forgotten about the clock speed change, thanks everyone for pointing it out.

With the range upgrade, yes. On orbital shipyard there are some deadspace spots where you can park a Lib and siege the mineral line

Like everything PvZ, it comes down to abusing the map and choke points. And with Ulrena specifically, there is plenty to abuse. Close air positions...go 2 base double Stargate Ling/Ravager or ling/roach rush....get Sentries and a pylon to guard the choke coming from the watch tower. Super early 11-14 pool.....build and cancel pylons up and down the choke between the natural and the watchtower you can do it up to 4 or 6 times and will super delay his push, allowing you to easily cannon up a nexus first. Everything else is standard PvZ knowledge. Abuse it.

On December 27 2015 13:25 HelpMeGetBetter wrote: so what stop a Zerg from just massing lings from the start to prevent you from ever expanding??? They could do that. And they did do that back in Wings of Liberty. We used Sentries and good building placement to break out of our main and expand. It was an art form back then. In HOTS we got the Nexus cannon. It was helpful if the Nexus finished, but before that we had to rely on the same things from WoL. Sentries and building placement. In Legacy of the Void, we were given even more tools. The DPS of Adepts toward light units is an obvious choice to combat early lings. It requires simple tech, is very affordable, relative to Protoss units, and even when surrounded can phase to safety. If that's not enough. We also got an improvement to the Nexus cannon. THE PYLON CANNON! They build faster, cost less energy, and can be concentrated in a specific area to maximize DPS. But tread carefully, as the cannon does not last forever.
