I love the idea that your population is unwilling to be at work for unlimited amounts of time. This is the 4x game I am looking for, where your population limits what you can do, rather than just doing what you command. If it works like EU4, the main function of war score is to determine how much land/treaties you can enforce. At 100% warscore you've effectively won the war, so ther is no need to be at war any longer. War exhaustion on the other hand...

It just affects the time it takes to migrate, not the ability to do so. According to the one SC novel that I've read, the Zerg travel very slowly through space.

Really awesome of Paradox to take the modding scene seriousl. I am really excited to see what kinds of mods we are going to see for this game. And that 5k star map (in the dev diary) looks amazing!

FEED THE HYPE TRAIN! You mean hype ship right But yeah, streaming/youtube NDA is up. Also nice of Paradox to put it on a national holiday in Sweden so I can get a day to watch it. And if you saw the MP live event, it is probably not a good idea to do what Arumba did; which was to rival a fallen empire early on

I'm actually tempted to buy this. Is it digital only or will there be a physical edition at stores?

No. You will receive a Steam key/require Steam no matter where you buy your copy of the game. Even physical distributions will require Steam. Is there physical distributions available? (Buy the game on disc) You can buy physical copies in some countries (for example UK and Germany). The most obvious place to look for it is your regional Amazon.

I am 99% sure that I have seen that AI difficulty is among the options you can choose from when setting up the game. It is very much possible that the streamers are using an easy difficulty
