Oh yes, she is beautiful. And I know Aero is slowing down my computer but the glass effect is so purdy I don't really care.

8800M GTS overclocked +110 core/300 memory 4gb PC5300 ram 320gb 5400rpm hd Vista 64 I'll add another hd later along with the processor. Probably won't run a RAID but I might make the 2nd a 7200rpm one. I'm not sure if I'll bring my keyboard/monitor with me when I go to college. The keyboard is very good for a laptop keyboard but stuff like the function key bother me, so I'd still rather bring me own. For gaming it's actually perfectly fine, but I still have issues typing with it. The thing is extremely cool and quiet, which has been a very pleasant surprise. It's still a big monster, but since I work out it's not a problem. EDIT: Oh yeah, and no problems with SC and Vista 64.

I had some video card driver issues at first but I eventually got it sorted it. If I had actually stuck with the built in methods (uninstall hardware vs. DriverCleanerPro and nTunes vs. Rivatuner) I wouldn't have had issues. I'm not used to trusting Windows utilities. D: Still not using their defragger or firewall though. No other issues though. Scanner/printer/etc. all support it. Nice. =O Is that the OpenOffice 3 beta quick launcher idling in your notifications area? x3

One thing to keep in mind if your buying a 7200rpm HD, they really eat battery power. Thats one thing i didnt think of when I bought mine.

Rivatuner and Powerstrip are third party tools for it, and ATI/Nvidia both have their own GPU adjusting programs.

I mean, its a laptop and probably won't have the most optimised cooling mechanism... I already tested it with Nvidia's 3 hour stability test and the temperature never got very extreme. Second, if it overheats, the driver will crash and Vista will recover instead of having a system crash. Oh yeah, and I have a cooling pad that I turn on when I play games. But I gotta say, I really haven't felt much need for it yet.
