You don't die instantly, you've got oxygen in your brain for a couple of seconds so you're at least semi conscious for a few seconds. People die instantly when they get shot in the heart in films or when their jugular gets clipped but it's supposedly a lot more disturbing than that.

First time I heard about weak aortic artery was related to genetic disorders, specifically Marfan syndrom and Loeys-Dietz syndrome, a similar genetic disorder. I'm just wondering how it would feel, instead of bleeding out, how bleeding in would feel. Also: how would bleeding out feel like? Like falling asleep? Probably depends on how fast you bleed to death I guess.

Did you ever stand up too abruptly after sitting down for hours and got woozy from the blood rushing down from your head towards your legs? I assume it would be similar

That's kind of neat, I wish we had a fishing game haha. What normally happened for us was that the birthday kid's mom awkwardly makes the kid give you a small gift bag that may or may not have your name on it. You know I always thought it was standard fare, or at least one of those things that Americans do too. But now that I think about it it is pretty Canadian sounding haha. The food or games or whatever were part of the party and then the loot bags was like a "thanks for coming" kind of thing.

I thought it was just a troll and was posting silly comments, playing along with the troll in the team announcement thread, and secretly laughing at everyone that believed it.... should I feel bad for being rude, or annoyed that the team announcement was silly? I don't know about this team, but is it a NA team? If so, you shouldn't feel bad nor annoyed, it's always hard to determine whether stuff that happens in the NA scene is serious or not.

I have been stabbed and lost a serious amount of blood and also donated blood so I can probably give some insight. Both felt surprisingly similar, only difference being that donating blood is much less painful and you get a bag of candy afterwards. The medic also did a much better job at finding a vein. In conclusion, I would give 3/10, wouldn’t get stabbed again. If you are curious just donate some blood and exaggerate your weight a bit, if you are not, go and donate blood anyways. Bleeding out will makes you feel increasingly tired/dizzy, probably until you lose consciousness where the speed of it depends on how fast you bleed out. And there probably won't be a bag of candy when it is done

(((Which was a church in one of the US's reddest states.)))+ Show Spoiler + (Pastor was way more OK with it; people who actually studied the Bible at some point usually are.) + Show Spoiler + It went ok IRL though. I explained the deal, and we had a good discussion re: Christian ethics, with him taking the old line of "not terrible but not good, bad for relationship longevity to live together before marriage" and me taking the "Bible pretty ambiguous on this point but really firm on taking marriage seriously... so what's wrong with a trial period" tack. Ended up being a good way to talk out differences of opinion while both taking each other seriously as Christians. It tastes like burnt hair smells. The pan looks good, no scorch marks or burnt food on it. What the fuck happened?
