He isn't making any obvious mistakes. He just got hard countered in both games, because Terran does that. Barely holding the tank push isn't a good thing for protoss. Innovation had 2/2 against 1/1 and was 30 supply ahead. It just doesn't matter. Tank pushes kill robo too hard.
For the 1st game it was way over too quick, but the 2nd game should really have been his. For some reason I feel like he never has enough units when he plays, not sure if he was macro badly or does he not have enough production values. That aside, he should still be able to win, except that the moment the flock of Viking comes it it's suddenly so one sided.
He got storm, which is the strategically correct thing to do against mass viking, and it cut into his supply. But INnoVation was ahead after the tank push already, despite not killing the whole army. 2/2 vs 1/1 is ridiculous for T. Tank pushes are good.

I don't think it is possible unless he was going for an all in to have more units than he had. He didn't even have forges down. Tank pushes are just absurd against robo builds.
Well, it is not a bad thing to lose 0:2 to Innovation but both games were just bad. First game, what is the point of having an Oracle when he didn't even tag the army that was moving out? Instead of coming back home to defend, he was busy killing SCVs with his Oracle and Phoenixes and then when he came back, there were basically no energy left and Glaves wasn't even done. I was like Innovation was gonna steamroll him before the 7 minutes mark...
Second game, he focused too much on Colossals to the point he got Twilight at almost 9 minutes mark and no upgrades up to that point whatsoever. On top of that, no pythons on the edge of the main base either to overcharge to chase away the Medivacs. He basically let the whole like 3 full Medivacs to unload and stim the hell out of it. Then, he chased the stimmed bio that were already running away with storms on the third base. Who does that?
2 games were less than 20 minutes in total and that basically said it all.

You have to get fast colossus when you go robo like that. There is a variant robo build where you get twilight with the robo and get colossus a bit later with double forge but with the robo build he did without the twilight (the more popular one right now) you get extremely fast colossus and then you stop at 3 then transition to something else. Getting fast storm like that was pretty smart since Inno had so many vikings. The problem was that he didn't crush the tank push hard enough and they traded evenly thus giving Inno a big lead. Maybe instead of taking his 3rd at 530 he should have just taken double forge on two base or something so he wouldn't be so behind in upgrades but that also makes the tank push harder to stop. He actually didn't play bad. He was just a bit unfortunate in the series.

He got fast storm and didn't even kill one Viking with his storms. He dropped 3 storms while Bios + Vikings were running away and killed like 2 Marines and 1 Marauder. Then, that was just useless. I wouldn't call it unfortunate.

I mean no player is perfect. Everybody makes mistakes so I'm not sure what you expect. He didn't lose the game because he whiffed on two storms as Inno was retreating. That was the least of his problems. He lost because robo builds aren't good and because he didn't crush the tank push hard enough. This gave Inno a big upgrade lead. Even with decent storms I don't think he wins that game.

Not motivated? That's sad to hear.
Yeah. He also said he doesn't practice much but that he hopes streaming will help motivate him more.
He should. Chatting with fans and relax a bit. A bit surprised that he lost his motivation given he is still a great player. Plus, his former teammates AKA Stats and TY are doing so well lately.

And he has said he'd stream ages ago, i'll believe it when I see it
Also I would say his reason for being demotivated is for all the recent loss he face recently, there's nothing to do with the game itself, and you guys are a bit too quick to jump into conclusion here. It would be hard for anyone if they practice really hard but they couldn't show results in game and Zest is no different.
I'm actually surprised to see how you negative you guys are. He just moved on to the Ro8 while 4-0ing Dear!! He's finally streaming after months of promising, and yet what you guys decide to talk about instead is that somehow he's going to quit the game even tho he never so much as imply it.
I remember him talking about being lonely and bummed that there isn't much offline stuff to play in since he got eliminated. That's probably why he isn't as motivated. Streaming will be good for his motivation I think.
