Not adding iccup is like saying it wont/should not exist in the future.. it's like disinforming people to make sure they forget it. Iccup is currently the most popular foreigner server right now and new gamers should know what are the channels available. There are even teams that attrack several people in their channel (eMg, Pain, Netwars, ...)

So after the game I left Europe and entered channel sex. This was like in 2010. there was 8-10 accounts in there typing out links to pictures and sexing it up, having links in their profiles of pics of "them". Was a weird experience. Just sat there watching it happen, wondering why. Thinking of B.net as a secret dark web place as it lives on while the sc2 and the world goes on. Like if this exists what else exists? Channel NSDAP? Channel ISIS?
It was probably a bunch of 13 year old boys pretending to be young girls, but that's where I'm gonna be hehe;)
Haha, I remember this channel. Back in late 90s when I played on Bnet it was actually pretty popular... like 30+ people in there all the time chatting. Weirdly enough, I barely ever remember sexual things being discussed there. I think it was just a bunch of pubescent kids hoping to find something exciting, then they end up there and start shit talking like they normally do.

So do we not yet know if ICCup is going to coexist with the new patch/servers?
Will the latency on USeast be reasonable? Or any of the fancy anti-hack measures the community servers provided?
Last time I actually played BW I remember USeast/west being absolute cesspools of hackers and like 200+ ping despite living on the east coast.
Do we have any info yet about what they're planning to do with latency/ladder stuff? I hear they're updating the netcode so you won't have to port-forward anymore, but are they also incorporating some of these lovely features from the fan servers?

Dunno, i view discord as more of a private thing and not everyone has it installed. Bnet chat channels are public and they're accessible to everyone.
Lots of people use discord for public servers and you can access it in a web browser without install

Apparently they are modifying the netcode settings to make it more like "LAN" setting on BW, which is what I believe ICCup and Fish use.

If the antihack they set up actually functions well (and surely it should? they've had over a decade to prepare it...) and b.net has its own ladder, theres no real incentive to play on ICCUP for anyone. It really does come down to the question of regular battle.net servers vs fish, given fish is the server with tens of thousands of people on it, established progamers etc. ICCUP is a small servers whos only advantage is a poorly designed ladder with lan lat and anti hack. All of that is superseded if what I described of battle.net is true, by battle.net and fish.

Op Sniper for Sniper bald lock games.

I hope they combine US East and West at least. One big foreigner server would be perfect for newer players.
It's very difficult to play UMS on Fish as a nonkorean, because downloading maps takes longer and you usually get kicked, plus maps are all in Korean. I don't see most foreigners going to Fish - only higher ranked 1v1 players.

I was alluding more to the fact that everyone is already on iCCup. The question is with this influx of new players, whether there will be opportunities for other servers to become active again. iCCup by default is where people currently play, because we have been forced to play on a single server. Like others have said, East is always in my heart so it'd be cool to revive it, if possible.

Wait so ICCup is gonna run 1.18? From what I read I just assumed that it wasn't getting updated, if it is then that's great news!
ICCup has a good chat channel system, i think everyone can pretty much figure out that Ladder D-C and Ladder 2x2 are the main channels, i'll add those to the list.

Typically i don't really have any lag issues when i'm 1v1ing vs koreans. I start feeling lag when theres 2+ foreigners in a game w/ other koreans, for example in a 2v2. I live in Montreal (East Coast).

Yea even playing melee 1v1 and team games can also be hard, you usually end up getting banned whenever you start dling a map t_t. Not the case when you're laddering tho.

really hoping this works out. Not looking forward to seeing lobbies that are 100% Lost Temple or Python

hahaha wow! It was there for that long huh? This kind of amazes me more than most things in the patch. (not sayin the patch aint good. just saying channel sex is fascinating.)
I guess it escalated a bit over the years. Well See ya there!..

Can anyone send an alert the exact moment the patch goes online please?
