Who cares about new players. All they do is getting roflstomped anyways, keybinds or not. Survival of the fittest
What kind of argument is that even? "Players who are new and less experienced get stomped anyway" thus there is no need for any qol changes which makes it easier to get into the game

So you want to further pamper towards casual players? How did that work out for SC2?

We are getting matchmaking/ladder system with Remastered. Why would new players play veterans? You make no sense.
Even now, half the games are called something like "1:1 noobs".

Casual is not the same thing as new.

There are so many ways to help new players and make it easier to learn the game without even touching the core gameplay.

sound files need to link to the sound folder for custom sounds. some koreans use korean voice sounds, german players use german sounds ect.
also for navigating through replays/maps you should be able to press "A" to go to the maps that start with "A", "B" for maps that start with "B", ect. I'd imagine it would piss off koreans too. it is also super laggy loading folders that have a gigantic amount of reps or maps, probably because of the map preview on the side. remove this and make it function the way it used to, it was a trillion times faster
my download folder just took 10 minutes to populate -___-

Rebinding keys will hurt SC in the long run but pump up initial numbers.
StarCraft is the best live game because the unique hotkeys are set in stone. Which provides some awesome, one of a kind keyboard gymnastics rather than watching a mindless drone pound away on the same dozen keys.
Hey at that point why don't ya disconnect your keyboard, throw it out the window and plug in a Dpad to play off.

So sick of this - what if we just get rid of all hotkeys? It's for the skill ceiling, man.

what is so great and modern it 1.18 patch that I can't run it on win xp?

lol?
you jumped from hotkey rebinds to using a dpad and killing the game in your original post. Nobody is plotting for incremental patches to destroy the game, this is an inconsequential adjustment.

a. options -> video -> unenable bilinear filtering. (returns cpu requirements closer to 1.16?) b. think of FPS cap like apm cap for lag. Enable it and lower the better. Going over = lag (still experimenting with it off)
1.18 lag issues seem to be related to your CPU being Remastered ready or not.

I very much doubt that the bilinear filtering is being done on the CPU. You also probably want to be careful enabling FPS cap, as it's at least mildly related to the loss of inputs (and probably mouse lag as well) people are complaining about. Best thing to try would be turning off unit portraits and vsync.

Me and my friend have both experienced a glitch, where, certain parts of the game (in fullscreen mode), if you click it will minimize you to desktop. Just random parts of the map, makes it totally unplayable. Reloading the game and loading in and out of windowed fullscreen to normal fullscreen fixes it.
edit: i.e if i clicked on the left part of my mineral line, it minimizes. Not the right side. The center of my base, but not the left edge. etc etc.
