sadly the anime already covered the best parts imho, the story goes downhill from where the anime left off
i haven't even been excited or especially interested in the story for almost a hundred chapters

it was cool ever since they beat hayama again tho. I'm liking the regiment de cuisine arc. even if its just gonna be star wars progression.

+ Show Spoiler [shokugeki no souma] +I think the series overuses the OMG IF THEY LOSE THEY GET EXPELLED. Souma is the fucking main character so it's fucking boring because we know he wont lose, even in this arc we know that souma might lose but his team will definitely win by virtue of the story simply ending if they don't
The best parts of the series were by far parts like the first tournament or the stagiare arc
After that it just became a series of 'oh souma has to win this because of the story i guess' even more so than most shounen stories

What do y'all think is the best way to watch Neon Genesis? I heard the show is good, but I also heard the ending was kinda off and arguably rushed. I also heard there are movies that change that. It's probably next on my bucket list after my Space Dandy rewatch.

If you want to watch it just watch it in release order
I personally am not a fan of the show, but it's worth watching if only because of how influential it was
|
Are they ever going to do the last movie?
|
It's in production currently (Or atleast Anno says he's working on it).
Watch order for NGE: TV series --> End of Evangelion --> (Optional) Rebuild movies 1, 2, 3 and 4 whenever it comes out.
End of Evangelion is a remake of the last 2 episodes because Gainax had run out of budget by that point so the last 2 episodes were very weird & abstract. I skipped them myself but they're worth watching along with the movie or so I heard.
If you finished the show + EoE, Here's also a video that explains the overarching plot of NGE if you're confused. NGE is too cryptic at times and barely explains anything which makes the plot hard to follow.

Wew, rumors have it that shield hero might actually get an anime? Colour me surprised
inb4 the potential anime skimps on the MCs bitterness, i hope not
|
Shield hero would never work as an anime. People don't like bitter negative main characters.
|
I liked shield hero a lot, so if the rumor is real i really hope we get 2 cours, anything less than that would make me afraid that they're gonna rush it
I loved MCs anger and bitterness

Watch the TV Show, then watch End of Evangelion, then if you want watch the Rebuild Films. The Rebuild Films start off as a remake, and then go into a different (or better, IMO) direction, but then promptly spiral into yet another different direction (and real shitty, IMO). Rebuild 4 ain't ever gonna come out, even SRW has given up waiting on it

And with that SaeKano s2 is over. What a god-tier anime indeed. S3 when?
And this last episode was just really enjoyable as well. I've said it before but the more recent episodes, perhaps the last 5 or 6 episodes in particular were really good for me. It was really nice to see them actually go for drama and not shy away from it. On the final episode + Show Spoiler [ep11] +Now this is going to sound like a contradiction to what I just said but having that feel good episode with a distinct ending to it certainly isn't a bad thing for me. Going for full drama with all that happened the last episodes would have left things in the open to some degree and while I would hope that we're going to get a season3 sometime we all know how these things end up. And the episode itself just had so much good stuff in it. Be it the date in the first part, the second part with Eriri + Utaha or the final part in front of the school: + Show Spoiler [pic] +The above pictures are probably the only downside to this for me in a way. With how this ended up I can only see this turning into more screen/book-time for Izumi and Michiru, two characters I really don't care that much about. Michiru I used to like but she's turned into the worst of the "main" cast for me over time and Izumi is literally the only one I dislike

And while his team is going to win, the individual wins are kinda up in the air. And honestly, I don't know how far they're going to get, but the seeing the Festival Arc animated is going to be pretty cool.

It's true for most shounens but it varies how easily they can make you get into what's happening and if it can be exciting despite that, SnS has failed 100% on that as far as i'm concerned
SnS has been overly predictable ever since the festival arc, i don't know what went wrong but everything in the story just fell apart for me after that, and i was loving it before that

I made a mistake :
Watched the Disappearance of Haruhi movie, thought it was mediocre, the story made no sense. I was going to enter the score on MAL, and realized there were two seasons of this show...

Now rewatch seasons 1-2 in broadcast order, and then rewatch the movie. Then re-score it.
