I believe Destiny 2's final release there will be a set a choice of a select few talent "bundles" instead of making talent choices individually. Eurogamer explains it better than I could: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-08-29-destiny-2-classes-subclasses-titan-hunter-warlock-4747
Besides that, you can customize your weapons with weapon perks/armor perks (talents for weapons/perks) and weapon/armor mods. In addition to choosing what exotics (think legendaries, from Diablo or WoW, but you can only have 2 equipped on your character)

Sorry never played Destiny before. Downloading the beta right now though since we might check it out later. I answered that question before in this thread. 2 people in a fireteam for most PVE content, 4 people for PVP, 6 players for end-game raids. There is world content which can have more players, but I think you're limited to 2 buddies that you can bring in for that world content.

Never played Destiny. Tried the beta because it was in the launcher. Most guns felt awkward, only the handcannon I liked. Most of the others just felt like too low damage machine guns or with awful recoil. After playing the campaign level I still have no idea what the point of a class is...my flaming sword ultimate was fun but it lasts so short that it's just a gimmick? And I could put down some circle buff thing that is not explained what it even does.
The style and setting are very cool. Campaign was pretty fun, even though I only liked the hand cannon. The weird thing to me was there is no loot to find. No reason to explore anything, ammo only seemed to drop after some kills. The coop level after that was less fun. Someone dropped and never got replaced, doens't seem like a great system. And near the end enemies just became bullet soaks, which is just not very interesting gameplay to me, especially when you are ammo limited.

Ye classes are not explained. Dunno if this is cause beta or if it stays that way. Had to read up on the classes on some fansite. The "no-loot" wierded me out as well, since the levels look so "lootable". Guess thats just their style. The Coop is actually really fun IMO. You can do it with a person less, just be a bit more careful. Ammo limit is only your power weapon [3]. Otherwise i never had ammo problems

Everyone make sure you have your money in the bank as Amazon, if you ordered from them, will start take the monmey out very soon for release!

Honestly i feel like i know pretty much all the voices in the game. They must have paid a shitload of money for the actors. I know Nathan Fillion and Lance Reddick. But the others seem familiar as well

Ya, im buying it
PC version tho, who else will buy the PC version ?

Since PS4 and Xbox version will be out way earlier imma wait and see what they say about it. 60 bucks is quite a price for a pc game nowadays

Conspiracy Theory Time: i think VV played a minimal role or no role in making the engine Destiny2PC runs on. VV has zero background in PC games and has some amount of experience with XB1 and PS4, but its not like they're considered an industry vanguard.
i think Blizzard probably made the PC engine for Destiny2; either that or Blizz rented their "engine team" to VV. I just can't see a total rookie like VV doing such a great job with a PC engine their first time out.
i think Blizz is getting a giant piece of any D2PC revenue. Like, i mean way more than the standard Steam 30%.
Blizzard throws around their brand like i throw around manhole covers. I think they've played a bigger role in developing D2PC then they're letting on at this point. I'll be watching the game credits.
now if you'll excuse me i'll be hiding behind the grassy knoll.

if there's substantial pve content and no rush to get to end-game, i'll get PC. otherwise, i see no point in consuming what's there. progression is an iffy thing if all your friends are pushing through to begin rolling on endgame tier equipment if everyone is going to reach the same point after a few days to a week anyway.
i think the majority of players will hop off the game after one month, and the more hardcore players extending themselves into raids for another month or two.
the game runs well and the beta strike was fun, but my friends are apprehensive about getting it anyway because there are plenty of other games to tide everyone over until monster hunter world.

Their biggest investment in the VA was when they had Peter Dinklage voice the ghost in Destiny 1. Then they kinda retcon his voice in an update so thats completely gone now.

So does anyone know when we can start preloading on consoles? Tomorrow maybe?

32 Gigs to preload... eff off.

There is more story, a clear villain and goal. Richer world and more stuff to do in general. The subclasses are more akin to taken king, rather than Destiny at launch and the loot seems to be plentful. And it is funnier in general and doesn't' take itself as seriously.

Alright so far, first time playing Destiny though so I'm probably screwing this character up.
Titan class on PS4: CordovaLark

Everything is an vast improvement over the original. Except how they messed with shaders. Fuck them, shaders are basically just an annoyance now reminding us of how good we had it. Almost lvl17 on PS4, now I can't log into the Destiny 2 servers, RIP rest of my planned night.
