Week One Recap
Week one is finally over. My predictions proved to be wildly inaccurate as Twice Liquid and DJs and Dinos went down in what might go down as the longest week in recorded history. The first teams to get their shit together and schedule a match were Twice Liquid - PRIME and Totally Not A Hungover Polish Zerg and Randoms. soO was able to squeeze out a win against Elentos, but Mizenhauer, Luolis and Argonauta were thoroughly embarrassed, giving Totally Not Going Nexus First Skytoss in 3v3 the 3-1 win. The second match was riddled with should have been warnings as, after three weeks of poor scheduling, DJ and Dinos and N O G U M I H O B O Y S combined for at least eight of them. The match was most notable for the mech vs Zerg match between Real GuMiho? And Fake ArtyK? that was tragically cut short as I got tired of showing the VOD. Here’s a spoiler: never trust a Frenchman to communicate with a Korean. GuMiho was given a walkover and, despite Char and Poopi picking up win, Railgan rattled off two wins to give L O O K I N G F O R A N E W K O R E A N B O Y S the victory.
Bonus Interview with Elentos
Hey, so we all kind of know you from your tl exploits, but why don’t you introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m Elentos, a German shitposter and Terran player. With the honor of getting rekt by soO in week 1.
So you were the first player to fall victim to a Code S Korean this season. How does it feel?
At first I was pretty upset because I didn’t really get to do anything. The first few days after the game I did really poorly on ladder too. You could say soO broke my mental. But I’m over it now.
You lost pretty quickly. What do you think went wrong?
More like what didn’t go wrong, am I right? Well actually, the plan was to make 2 marines before the reactor. And I forgot one of them so when the lings got in I got rekt by progamer micro.
What is your opinion on soO’s participation. I argue that soO was integral in producing that Eo Yun Soo article that everyone loved and is the closest thing to a writer, but that doesn’t seem to be a commonly held view.
I think it’s awesome a big name Korean agreed to play with us plebs. Sadly ArtyK killed our second top Korean participant but I think the experience of playing a real pro - even with severe handicap - is cool. But I would say that at the same time it’s kind of questionable. Because the soO-shitposter gap hasn’t closed yet.
Well we’re running out of time, so I only have one more question. Having played soO one time at 70% handicap, do you think you’d be a lock to beat him in a premier event finals?
Yeah, sure thing. All I need to do is make sure I don’t die to four lings, should be easy right?
Week Two Preview
Down to the nitty-gritty. Week Two happens to overlap with the Super Tournament, but determined shit-poseters will not be deterred by such trivial obstacles.
Match One
The first scheduled match of the week takes place between S T A T S B O Y S and Twice Liquid.

Map 1: I’m looking an 0-2 start straight in the face and it’s far from as pretty as Tzuyu.
Map 2: Seeker’s bad luck continues as he gets another mirror against a superior Terran. No Protoss in sight makes Luolis the heavy favorite.
Map 3: I know nothing about Fred, but I’m pretty sure Olli isn’t practicing. I’m gonna give it to Olli anyway since he’s my boss and I should try to suck up to him. (Talk about writer bias).
Map 4: soO couldn’t play due to the Super Tournament which meant I had to delve deep into the bench and pull out Soul for another ZvZ on Incubation. This has to be the most exciting match of the week as the two best arguers on Teamliquid go at it, albeit with zerglings rather than words. Thank god that’s the case because otherwise we’d be sitting around until Round 2 discussing who would win in an eating contest, the Toronto Raptors backcourt of Blackpink. What happens here is entirely up for debate. Just don’t invite these two to the discussion.
Prediction:
Railgan 1 > 0 Mizenhauer
Seekeer 1 < 1 Luolis
Predxor 1 < 2 Olli
The_Red_Viper 2 > 2 Soularian
Railgan 2 < 3 Luolis
Twice Liquid Wins 3-2
Match Two
With Elentos on the bench, Durn throws out an all Zerg lineup as Totally Not A Witty Reference face off against DJ and Dinos.

Map 1: Solar was on Twice Liquid for a while, but got the boot when we added soO. I’m glad to see him get some playing time and I’m rooting for him to take down the Aussie.
Map 2: Ej will probably be drunk.
Map 3: ArtyK’s bad luck continues after bailing on GuMiho. Durn should take care of business with ease.
Map 4: The second Polish Zerg will fare no better than the first. Char is a talented player and will hold nothing back against the man who keeps Polish StarCraft afloat.
Prediction:
Inflicted 1 > 0 Solar
Ej 1 <1 vult
Durn 2 > ArtyK
Kashim 2 < 2 Charoisaur
Durn 3 > 2 Charoisaur
