Whats the point of a thread if we cannot discuss matters that are important to a tournament? Or are we only allowed to discuss matters one time and come to a "concensus" and forever hold our breath? When did this one-time discussion happen by the way? I certainly missed it, because guess what, I dont read every single thread that has ever been created here (go figure) Is there a portal you can direct me to that lists all the subjects that we are not allowed to discuss and "consensuses" that have been made? No one knows if Bonyth would have won or not, and I haven't "insisted" on anything in my post, where is your statement coming from? However I know that games at that level suffer a lot both from viewership and execution point of view. How about that: I'll host a tournament for 1000$ where top foreigners will play without koreans and lag, and you'll host a 1000$ tour where you get a mash up of korean-foreign-super laggy games (not to mention the prize pool only for #1). If my tournament attracts more players / viewers you'll pay me triple the prize pool.

Are we both supposed to spend $1,000; with odds for you to get $3,000 and odds for me to get nothing, or you accidentaly forgot to mention the consequences of you not winning? I abstain. But if you have spare $1k I can offer you my best support and gratitude should you decide to host cogeT Cup on your own rules. I am pretty sure the community will be thankful too.

Bringing up only 1 or 2 players' issue isn't a good idea to start arguing sponsor's final decision after he hosted a tour.

I feel like zerg race is hardly viable on this turn rate if terran plays flawlessly. Zerg can play lurker but when lurker is expected it becomes so much weaker.. Just wondering what you think

I come here to receive official answer from admins regarding possible lag issues in a tournament and how would that be resolved. I believe that Turn Rate 10 + high latency should be the maximum delay to be considered the game playable. My question is: how would the hyphotetical situation be resolved, if the lags are worse? Note that I'm not here to start or continue some war politics against koreans. I understand completely why people like to see korean in foreign tournaments and I've changed my position about it, as I'm no longer against it. However, lag is different issue. Watch this VOD from minute 1:33:30 to 1:34:40 - https://go.twitch.tv/videos/184168968 And compare it to this VOD from minute 12:00 to 12:30 - https://go.twitch.tv/videos/184186308 Firstly, I am a micro-type player. I relly on units potential to decide the outcome of a battle. Reavers, carriers, all units need to be controlled with great care. Secondly, I wanna mention that terran race benefits from lag (as in long units reaction time). Terran is the most strategic race of all the 3. This is why in the era of Turn Rate 8 ladder all the top slots on every server is dominated by terrans. This is why every korean getting good results on foreign scene is terran. I'm going to keep participating in tournaments, because they are great and I love the rules of it (especialy the one saying "this is Russia, there is no freedom of speech"), the format is really cool too, probably the 1st of its kind. However, If I was to meet Mong in the grand finals, how would the situation be resolved? I know it's a tough question, I don't have an answer for it myself, a dead end.

1) Lag. This is very difficult to answer Bonyth's question. Seems there is no real solution. The simple one offered "BAN KOREANS!!11" - won't be adopted. Our team agree with the arguments that we abolish the intrigue allowing Koreans to play, albeit such arguments usually end up with a "solid" conclusion to BAN KOREANS, which I personally treat miserable. Yet, please trust that Bonyth and other guys have been heard and we are working on solution. Apparently there is one that will solve a lot of problems but bring another one to life. The result is that yelpers will always remain. Here is a small tip at the moment. Alike tournament system has existed in the past. 2) LAN tournament. Right at the time I am not willing to host WCG-like LAN due to involvement and efforts needed. The RB Cup is mostly a "paid statistics" for me which may or may not materialize into something more. I am very much thankful to those like Bonyth who says "Hey man, you have big problems here, there and over there. Think about it. Meanwhile I will keep playing as is, albeit without much joy". And I will disregard ultimatums to bet with the odds of loosing something and winning nothing. Eventually Russians do not have freedom of speech Cheers, RB
