i have a hard time believing any team can sweep Philadelphia in the playoffs.
Zach Lavine's whining creates lots of 5 on 4s for Toronto.

I think the issue with sending them to the Dleague is they are both starters right now! Yes, well "They" also often know little more than you or me when it comes to these things. Hell, even most professional athletes have little understanding of the reasons behind things they do in a game. That's why sports have coaches. The players have physical talents and are told by a coach (or team of coaches) how to put those talents to use. That's why players with high "(insert sport here) IQ" are highlighted in the media (ignoring the fact that most media have no fucking clue what they're talking about and are just parroting the same talking points as everyone else for entertainment). They are the few players that truly understand the game, and often you find them "defying the clock" and having greater success than expected later on in their careers. Think guys like Tom Brady or even, yes, LeBron at the highest level... Though I believe more often they are above average role players who just never seem to fall off until they retire or age finally does what it do (Steve Kerr, anyone?). Anyway, I'm sure a longer season has an effect but honestly, that's all conditioning assuming no nagging injuries. Conditioning is super-easy to improve, especially before 30.

Speaking of Steve Kerr, deeper teams like the Warriors can rest their coaches against shitty teams and let the players coach themselves.

Couple of days ago the big news was Cleveland's brand new all powerful offense hung the highest point total on the "toughest defense in the NBA" in Boston. Welp, one game later the LA Clippers put up more points than Cleveland. I think Boston's wilting defense is as much or more responsible for the big points the Clips and Cavs put up as the Clips and Caves offenses.

The only metric that fully captures the brilliance of Fred Van Vleet is ESPN Real Plus Minus. He now has a higher Real Plus Minus than Kyle Lowry and its well deserved. The Raptors bench has been outplaying the Raptors starters for a while now. http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/1 On February 15 2018 10:36 JimmiC wrote: A sampling of people who have a worse shooting % then wiggins: Blake Griffin, Kris Dunn, Devin Booker, Lauri Markkanon, Kemba Walker, John Wall, Kyle Lowery, Marc Gasol, Mello, Dinwiddie. no troll. Wiggins has taken almost 1000 shots this year. A lousy shooting % by all the guys you mention here is a negative for those players. Taking Lowry and Dinwiddie though... they do a lot more than just shoot. They create way more offense than Wiggins outside of shooting. They also don't take any where near the # of shots Wiggins does. How many players have missed more shots than Wiggins the last 3 years? i'm too lazy to look it up.. but i'll bet you its less than 5 guys. so the joke fits the reality quite well... Wiggins lays enough bricks to build a pyramid.
