Edit: I mean they only won a map so far but vs this Astralis it feels like they won the fricking tournament.

Good showing by Liquid, they had the chances to win a second map on both nuke and inferno. A shame that it did not work out.

They have a good shot at Starseries 5 next week. With only 5 Top10-Teams attending (Navi, NIP, SK, Mouse and Liquid), they are one of the favourites to win it.

Normally I wouldgive a new team 30-40 days and after that I don't expect much improvement. However, the sum of the parts based on long-term data of the five players is very high plus they have showed they can play well as a team (previously) and win tournaments. At last, the language switch may take 3-5 months to fully be implemented and it's also clear that the team roles don't function naturally on the team- but the "if everything clicks" potential is there. If we think about coldzera he went from "best in the world" just some months ago and now he looks like the 80th best player in the world (before IGL changes)... How? While I don't think he will just return to be a top 3-5 player over the next 2 months, it does seem reasoanble to expect that his performance could return closer to his mean performance in the future (at least on the maps he isn't IGL). And on maps he isn't IGL, fallen should/could perform as a top 5-7 AWPer in the world. On top of that, I also don't think they have been playing that bad. Still a top 7 team in my book. With regards to mouz, unless Oskar returns to form and/or they replace styko, I don't see them as a top 3 team. I felt for the past 40-50 days that they were signficantly overrated by the community (esp when some people thought they were favourites going into Marseille). Thus I am much more inclined to put the top 4 as astralis, faze, navi and tl. Don't even think Faze is a clear #2 - felt they were a bit overrated as well going into ESL Pro league dallas. Surprised me a lot when bookies opened with similar odds on Faze to win as Astralis - cus I consider the difference between Astralis and everyone else to similar to the difference between #2 and #10 in the world. SK has some potential to break into the top 4 over the next 2'ish months.

My outside candidate is NiP who I thought had a lot of potential going into ESL Pro League Dallas but definitely dissapointed me somewhat. With that said, they didn't look "that much worse than SK" throughout the tournament. Lost in OT and then to optic in a bo3 (a team SK was also close to lose to). Until I see more lan performances from them, I can't rule out the possiblility of them just having "one bad tournament" given that they have come off a pretty succesful online season and on a paper has a strong roster. Plus, NiP has always been a hit-and-miss team. Either they suck or they win. For that reason, I am inclined to rate NiP with a higher chance to win than Mousesports.
