Sentimiento Latino/24
Participation
With an average of 8.75 players per weekly, Sentimiento Latino keeps bringing new players to the competitive scene although the old school players are still better. Chile maintains its position as the country with the most regular players but Peru has seen an increase of participants. From time to time Brasil and Mexico bring a lot of competition making the tournament even more interesting and Central America have their own representation with EON.
As we can see, the tournament is reaching more and more countries and beside the numbers of players signing up, SL is bringing the continent together.
The King
Without a doubt, the popular and charismatic JimRising is the strongest player in SL. In the last four editions, “Jimbo” took the crown three times and in the other he didn’t play. Overall, the Mexican zerg maintains his position at the top of the pyramided with a loss here and there in rare occasions. If you want to see one of the best LatAm players and personalities, you can check JimRising stream here:
And you can catch a glimpse of his genius in this clip:
The “rookie”
Although not a new player, OIGE.CapBombilla is part of the group of Peruvian players who are signing up to SL more frequently. The terran has played several edition and recently reached the finals against JimRising. The Mexican players is his nemesis eliminating him in more than one occasion. In the last four tournaments, CapBombilla has become one of the up and coming terrans of the region. Will he maintain this and keep improving? We hope so.
Race representation
Zerg – Still the most popular in LatAm, the swarm is the most winning race thanks to JimRising and other great zergs like Halfbreed or eGGz. Although their numbers are big, their kingdom of the most played race might end soon.
Terran – most of the new players are terran but their strength is not enough. They have in Jarppi a great general but he alone is not enough. For now, LatAm is lacking someone that goes head to head with Jarppi like with see with the zergs.
Protoss – the proud warriors of Aiur, little by little their blades are shinning more and more. Pacomike leads them in a world full of terrors but he can’t do it alone. Some reinforcements have arrived like Dastan and Jomare from Chile and I want to believe that their future will be brighter.
Conclussion
The objective is clear: defeat JimRising. Every player in SL needs to win against Jimbo to claim the weekly glory. More players are joining the brawl but they still lack experience and skill. Meanwhile, Jim rises as the lonely star, waiting for a challenger. Sometimes a player will achieve this objective, like Jarppi or Halfbreed, but we need those new players to step it up and start making those players tremble.

Congratulation to Pacomike for being the first protoss to win a Sentimiento Latino weekly and probably any tournament in Latin America in a lot of time.
“ The Swarm brought ruin to our world. Our proud people became refugees. And yet, they could not shatter our unity. For we are bound by the Khala. The sacred union of our every emotion and thought. Today we retake our homeworld. And with it, our legacy. “ - Pacomike after winning SL 15
